  Hattie Silvis
       

IRVING, N.Y. -- Hattie Lucinda Silvis, 80, former Bennetts Valley 
  resident, died Saturday in the Lake Shore Nursing Home in Irving, N.Y.
   
    Friends may call from 2-4  and 7-9 p.m. today and until services Tuesday 
  at 2 p.m. in the Ralph M. Geer Funeral Home in Penfield.  
Rev. Edwin Whipple 
  will officiate and interment will be in Gardner Hill Cemetery.
       Mrs. Silvis was born in Brockport April 8, 1898, 
daughter of Joseph and 
  Annie (Garvin) Timblin.  She was first married to George Smith, he died in 
  1939 and later to the deceased Edward Silvis. 
 She was a member of the Trinity 
  Lutheran Church at Woodbury, Pa.
       Survivors are five sons, Harold and Leonard Smith of Weedville,
 Francis 
  L. Smith of Tampa, Fla., Elmer Smith of Spencerville, N.Y. and Richard Smith 
  of Collins, N.Y.; fourt daughters, Mrs. James (Luella) Wolff
 of Derby, N.Y., 
  Mrs. George (Velma) Benn of Hamburg, N.Y., Mrs. Paul (Jennie) Turner of New 
  Enterprise, Pa. and Mrs. James (June) Craft of 
Sanborn, N.Y.; fourt brothers, 
  William of Florida, Levi, Merle and Calvin of Bradford; three sisters, Alice 
  Sharnesky, Mrs. Sigmund (Myrtle) 
Huber and Mrs. Sylvester Bish of Bradford; 25 
  grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
