Elk County Gazette  3/1/1906
   This aged and respected lady died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joseph 
Hoffman, Walnut Street, on Thursday of last week. She had attained the advanced 
age of 78 years when death came as a result of pneumonia. She was ill less than 
two weeks, and prior to her last sickness, had always enjoyed exceptionally 
good health.
   The funeral was held Saturday morning. The services were conducted in the 
St. Marys Church at 9:00 o'clock, at which time Rev. P. Willibald, O.S.B. read 
the requiem Mass. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
   Deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Joseph Hoffman, Mrs. George 
Emmert and Mrs. John Emmert. Her husband preceded her to his reward some years 
ago. Among those from out of town who attended the funeral were Miss Julia 
Emmert of Rochester, NY,  William Emmert of Oswayo, NY, and Mr. and Mrs. John 
Boyer of Johnsonburg, PA.
   Mrs. Schoeberl was a native of Germany but had made her home in these parts 
for many years.
   The family desire to extend their thanks to all who gave aid and sympathy 
during the illness and at the death and funeral of their mother.

Additional Comments:
Mrs. Schoeberl was the spouse of the late Joseph Schoeberl who died in 1891. 
She was born in Germany in 1828.
