   George Haberberger Sr., 82, a resident of Benzinger Township for 58 years, 
died at the local hospital yesterday afternoon at 5:45 o'clock.
   He submitted to an emergency operation Saturday night and never regained 
consciousness.
   Funeral Services will be held in St. Marys Church Friday morning at nine 
o'clock, attended by members of the St. Joseph Society, an organization wirh 
which the deceased was affiliated for many years. Burial will be made in the 
St. Marys Cemetery.
   Mr. Haberberger was born in Bavaria, Germany, September 20, 1859 and came to 
St. Marys when he was 24 years old. He worked a number of years at the Tannery 
and later at the Fireproof plant, retiring from active work 14 years ago.
   His wife, nee Lena Funk, passed away 13 years ago.
   Five daughters, Esther, Mrs. Michael Baumer, Mrs. Katherine Andres, Carrie, 
Mrs. George Andres, Rose, Mrs. Joseph Schaberl, all of St. Marys; Loretta, Mrs. 
Arnold Swanson of East Cleveland, OH, survive as do three sons, George, Anthony 
and Edward all of town; a sister, Mrs. Mary Rumplelein, St. Marys, 28 
grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
   The remains may be viewed at the family home on South Michael Street.
