DEATH ON THE RAIL
Two Men Killed This Morning While Walking on the Railroad.

While Johnstown accommodation west was running at full speed near
Neef's crossing at Cassandra about 8:30 o'clock this morning it
overtook John Dollinger, a German carpenter who was walking on the
track and carrying a box containing his tools. Engineer Tom Cassiday
whistled repeatedly and a number of persons standing near the crossing
shouted to Dollinger and pointed toward the approaching train, but he
failed to apprehend their meaning and made no attempt to leave the
track. He was struck in the back and instantly killed. His mangled
and bruised remains were taken to Lilly.
Dollinger was about 40 years. He came from St. Mary's, Elk county,
to Lilly, a short time ago and boarded with James Burke in that town.
