   Mrs. Catherine Butsch, a well known and highly respected resident of this 
city, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Center Street last evening at 
8:15 o'clock, after a few day's illness, death being attributed to acute 
indigestion which caused dilation of the heart. Mrs. Butsch had been enjoying 
fairly good health until last Tuesday when she was stricken and compelled to 
take to her bed. Her condition was not considered serious and news of her death 
was a shock to her legion of friends.
   The deceased was born in Benzinger Township, March 19, 1850 and was nearing 
74 years of age. She was united in marriage to John Butsch, April 19, 1875. Her 
husband passed away in October 1903.
   She is survived by the following children: Mrs. Anna DeLoach, Los Angeles, 
California, Leonard, Washington, D.C. and Mrs. Fred Pipolo, Pittsburgh, 
Sylvester and Edward of St. Marys. Six grandchildren also survive.
   She was a member of St. Francis, Sacred Heart Branch, Altar Society of the 
St. Marys Church, Women's Relief Corps and German Beneficial Union.
   The funeral will be held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock. Services will be 
conducted in the Sacred Heart Church, followed by interment in the Catholic 
cemetery.
