Whereas David Reece son of Lewis Reece and his Deceased Wife Grace of 
[Newtown?] in the County of [Chester?] in the Province of Pensilvanias and 
Mary Garrat Daughter of Wm Garrat and Mary his Wife both Dec'sd of Darby in 
the County of Chester aforesaid Having declared their Intentions of Marriage 
with Each other before severall Monthly Meetings of the people Called Quakers 
at Darby aforesaid According to the good order [Used?] amongst them and having 
Consent of Parent With a [Concence?] and aprobation of relations and friends 
Conserned their said proposal of Marriage was allowed of by the Said Meeting. 
Now these are to Certifie whom it may Concern that for the full accomplishing 
their said Intentions this Twenty second Day of the fourth Month called June 
In the Year of our Lord one Thousand Seven Hundred and forty Three They the 
said David Reece and Mary Garrat Appeared in a publick Meeting at Darby 
aforesaid and the said David Reece taking the Said Mary Garrat by the hand did 
in a Solemn Manner openly Declare that he took her the said Mary Garrat to be 
his wife promising with the Lords assistance to be unto her a loving and 
faithfull Husband untill Death Should Separate them.  And then and there in 
the Same Assembly the said Mary Garrat did in like Manner declare that She 
took the Said David Reece to be her Husband promising with the Lords 
Assistance to be unto him a loving and faithfull unitll Death Should Separate 
them.  And Moreover they the said David Reece & Mary Garrat (She according to 
the Custom of Marriage Assuming the Name of Husband) as a further Confirmation 
thereof did then and thereto those presents sett their hands. And we whose 
names are here and also subscribed being present at the Solemnization of the 
Said Marriage and Subscription have as witnesses hereunto put our hand the Day 
and Year above written.
