Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE BAKER, of West Third street,
Media, announce the engagement of their niece, Miss
VIRGINIA FRANCES THOMPSON of Media, to
ROBERT J. PEGLER, of Haverford.

COUNTY COUPLE ELOPES TO ELKTON
ROBERT JAMES PEGLER, 21 years old, of Haverford,
and VIRGINIA FRANCES THOMPSON, 18 years old, of
Media, on Thursday by the Baptist minister there.
They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Henry POWELL,
of Media, who were married there a week before. Upon
their return to Media after their wedding, Mr. and Mrs. PEGLER
and their wedding party were tendered a wedding super at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. GEORGE BAKER, of West Third street,
Media. Mr. and Mrs. BAKER are uncle and aunt of the bride.
Note: Robert James Pegler was the younger brother of James Elridge Pegler, who married
Ada May (Hampton) Baker, adopted daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George S. Baker.
Mrs. Virginia Frances (nee Thompson) Pegler, was the younger sister of
Mrs. Edith (nee Thompson) Skiver, Obit Delaware Co. PAGenWeb Archives
