Whereas William Garrett of Darby in the County of Chester in the Province of 
Pensilvania and Ann Obern of the Same place Having Declared their Intentions 
of Marriage with Each Other before Several Monthly Meetings of the people 
Called Quakers at Darby Aforesaid According to the good Order Used Amongst 
them and having Consent of Parties and Relations Concernd their Said proposals 
of Marriage Allowed of by the Said Meeting;  Now these are to Certify who it 
may Concern that for the full Accomplishing of their Said Intentions this 
Thirtieth Day of the Eighth month In the Year of our Lord One thousand Seven 
hundred and fifty [one?] they the Said William Garrett and Ann Oborn Appeared 
in a publick Meeting of the Said people at Darby Aforesaid and the Said 
William Garrett takeing the Said Ann Oborn by the hand Did in a Solemn Manner 
Openly Declare that he took her the Said Ann Oborn to be his wife promising 
with the Lords Assistance to be Unto her a Loving and faithfull Husband Untill 
Death Should Seperate them and then and there in the Said Assembly the Said 
Ann Oborn Did in Like manner Openly Declare that She took Said William Garrett 
to be her Husband promising with the Lords Assistance to be Unto him a Loving 
and faithful Wife Untill Death Should Seperate them; And Moreover they the 
Said William Garrett and Ann Oborn (she according to the Custom of Marriage 
Assuming the Name of her Husband) as a farther Confirmation thereof Did then 
and there to these present Set their Hands

And we whose names are under written also being present at the Solemnization 
of the Said Marriage and Subscription have as witnesses there unto Set Our 
hands the Day and Year above Written.

the records around it and by other records that indicate that the year was to
