Claus Jonson

In the Name of God Amen I Claus Jonson of the Township of Bensalem in the
County of Bucks in the Province of Pennsylvania being sick & weak of Body &
of a Sound, Disposeing mind & memory & knowing the uncertainty of this mortal
life Doe there make & ordain this Testament of writeing to be & contain my
Last will & Testam't Thereby revokeing all former & other wills by me
heretofore made And First I Resign my soul into the hands of Almighty God
hopeing through the Meritts of the Lord Jesus P--- Favour to obtain a glorius
Resurrection and for that Portion of worldly Goods which it hath pleased God
to bless me with all I Dispose of the Same in manner following Imprimus It is
my will that all my just Debts & funerall expenses be first paid & satisfied
Item I give & Bequeath unto my three sons John Johnson, Lawrence Johnson &
Richard Johnson all my Severall Tracts of Land Containing and by --- Pattents
appears six hundred & forty acres of farm Lands & forty five acres of Meadow
together with the Buildings thereon Standing (excepting the timber upon two
swamps & Torping to the Land that my son John & my son Lawrence no lives on &
ye timber standing near a Run on the Land my son Richard lives on adjoying to
the Land formerly Michells Fredericksons) to be Divided amongst them as
followeth - that is to Say I give & bequeath unto my son John Jonson all that
Tract of Land whereon he now Lives & as much --- of my farm Land as shall make
it two hundred and thirteen acres together also with fifteen Acres of Meadow
to be to him my sd Son John Johnson during the term of his Naturall Life &
after his Decease to be equally divided amongst all the children of his Body
Lawfully begotten & their Heirs for ever Item I give and bequeath unto my sd
Son John Johnson my Cane & my Belts with a silver Buckle to it to be fore him
& his heirs foreever Item I give & Bequeath unto my son Lawrence Johnson all
that Tract of Land whereon he Lives (except as before is excepted) & as much
more of my Farm Land as what makes two hundred & thirteen acres together also
with fifteen Acres of Meadow to be to him my sd Son Lawrence Johnson during
the term of his Naturall Life & after his Decease to be equally Divided
amongst all the Children of his body lawfully begotten & their heirs forever
Item I give & Bequeath unto my son Richard Johnson all that tract of Land
whereon he Lives (Excepting as before is excepted) & as much more of my farm
land as shall make it two hundred & thirteen acres together & also with
fifteen Acres of Meadow to be to him my sd son Richard Johnson during the
term of his Natruall Life & after his Decease to be Equally Divided amongst
all the Children of his body lawfully Begotten & their heirs forever  Item
all the timber in the two swamps & by the Run above excepted I do  give &
Bequeath unto my above sd three sons to be in common between them for the use
of all the Land above bequeathed & that no one of my sons shall sell any of
the before excepted Timber without the Consent of the other two Sons Item  I
do appoint & its my Will that all the corn that is in my Barn , Barruck &
Houses be thrashed out & sold by my Execrs. hereafter named to pay my Just
Debts & funerall charges & if any Corn remains after my Execrs. are pd. their
Charge & trouble of Thrashing Cleaning & Selling I give & Bequeath it to my
three Daughters Garter, Barbary & Elizth. to be equally Divided amongst
them  Item I Doe give & bequeath unto my loving wife Wallburh one bed &
Furniture which she shall Choose One Iron Pot one Pewter Bason two Pewter
Plates & one Pewter Dish for her & her heirs forever  Item all the rest of my
psonll estate of what --- Soever not before bequeath'd I give & Bequeath unto
my three daughters Garter, Barbary & Elizth to be equally Divided amongst
them to be for them & their heirs forever  Item I Doe give & Bequeath unto my
Loveing wife Walburh Johnson the Sume of fifteen Pound Current money of the
Province abovesd. to her yearly & in  every year out of my estate during her
Life Natruall by my before mentioned three Sons John Lawrence and Richard
that is to say five Pound each its being for her subsistance & maintenance &
is in full of all Dower Lastly I doe Nominate & appoint my Son John Johnson &
my son Lawrence Johnson to be my whole & sole Execrs. of this my Last Will &
hereby revoking  & makeing void all former & other wills by me heretofore
made In Wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my Hand & Seal this twenty
fifth Day of November in the Year of our Lord God one Thousand Seven hundred
and twenty three
