The tenth Day of February in the year of our Lord One Thousand Seven     
Hundred and Seventynine I John James of the Township of New Brittain in     
the County of Bucks in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania yeoman being     
weak of Body but of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be Giving     
to God for the Same do make Publish & Declare this my Last will and     
testament in manner and form following.  Imprimis my will is and I Do     
order that all my Just Debts and funeral Charges be paid and Discharged      
Item I Give and Bequeath to my Daughter Margaret James my Quarso Bible     
also one Case of Drawers and the furniture of one bed also my Looking     
Glass  Item I give my son Benjamin James all my wearing apparrel and all     
the remainder of my Books also a little blackwalnut box also one Little     
feather bed and furniture  Item I Give to my Daughter Catherin James all     
my Chainey ware Two pewter Dishes and two pewter plates to be Delivered     
into the Care of her aunt Elizabeth James for her use when she arrives     
to full age the Remainder of my Pewter I give to my Daughter Margaret

Item I give to my Son James James the Sum of Four Hundred Pounds Curent     
Lawful money of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be paid into the     
hand of such person as he Shall Choose or be Legally appointed his     
Guardians and to be put to Intrest for his use until he arrives to full     
age Said Legacy to be paid out of my Personal Estate  Item I Give to my     
Daughter Catherin James the Sum of Eighty five pounds Curent Lawful     
money of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be paid out of my Personal     
Estate to Such persons as She Shall choose or Shall be Legally appointed     
her guardians and to be put to Intrest for her use until She arrives to     
full age.
Item I Give and Devise for my Daughter Margaret James a Lot of Sixty     
acres of Land to be Surveyed to her off the Side of my Land whereon I     
now so Live, adjoining Land of my Cousen John James Said Lot in it     
boundaries adjoin Land of my Brother James Land of my Said Cousen John     
James Land of my Cousen William James and the remainder of the Land I     
live on and that the Line Severing Said Lot from my other Land I will so     
be parralled with the line Between Said Lot and Land of my Said Cousen     
John James.  Said Lot of Sixty acres of Land I will to be held and     
Enjoyed by my Said Daughter Margaret James her Heirs & assigns forever     
my Said Daughter Margaret James her heirs & assigns paying the money     
herein required of them to pay---------------
Item I Give and Devise to my Son Benjamin James all the remainder of my     
Land and Tennements Situate in Said Township of New Brittain to be held     
and Enjoyed by him my Said Son Benjamin James his Heirs & assigns     
forever my Said son Benjamin James his Heirs & assigns paying the money     
herein required of him to pay----------------------------------
Item my will is that my Land in New Brittain remain in the Care of my     
Executors until my Said Daughter Margaret and my Son Benjamin arrives to     
full age and to be by them rented for their benefit until Said Time and     
the Clear profit arrising therefrom to be paid to them that is one third     
thereof to my Said Daughter and Two thirds thereof to my said Son-Item     
my will is that if my personal Estate Should prove insufficient to pay     
my Son James James and my Daughter Catherin James the Legaries herein     
willed to them that they my Said Son Benjamin James and my said Daughter     
Margaret Shall pay unto them Said Deficiency Said Deficiency to be paid     
at the Expiration of one Year after my Said son James & Daughter     
Catherin James shall arrive to full age and my will is that no Intrest     
Shall be Charged on Said Deficiency and my will further is that     
threefourths of Said Deficiency be charged to my Son Benjamin and one     
fourth thereof only Charged to my Said Daughter Margaret But Should it     
so happen that there be no Deficiency but overplush then I will Said     
overplush to be Equally Divided amongest my four Children  Item I Give     
and Devise to my Son James James Two hundred Acres of Land Surveyed to     
me and for my use in Chesnut Hill Township in Northampton County     
pursnant to a warrant Dated the Eighth Day of December in the Year of     
Our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred & Seventythree from the Land office     
at Philadelphia for three Hundred acres of Land in Said County Two     
Hundred acres of Land I will with all the appurtenances to be held and     
Enjoyed by him, my Said Son James James his Heirs & assigns forever     
willing my Said Son or his Guardians for him to procure a pattent for     
the Same Twenty five pounds two Shillings & Sixpense in Lieu of fifteen     
pounds Sterling being paid for the Same as appears by incept of Even     
Date with the above warrant Signed For the Honnorable the Proprieturies     
by Edmunds & Myself  Item I Give & Devise to my Friend Alie Gray all my     
right by Virtue of the above mentioned Warrant To One Hundred acres of     
unsurveyed Land in Said County of Northampton willing that She may have     
the Same Surveyed & Confirmed to her Heirs & assigns forever. 
Item I Give my Daughter Catherin James my Case of Drawers which hath new     
furniture on to be Deliverd into the Care of her aunt Elizabeth James     
for her use until She arrives to full age  Item I Do hereby nominate &     
appoint my Cousen William James Cordwindes & my Nephew Moses Aaron     
yeoman to be Joynt Executors of this my Last will and Testament hereby     
revoking all former wills & Testament by me made ratefying this my Last     
will and Testament in witnes whereof I have hereunto Set my hand & Seal
