Henry Clay Burkholder
    In the name of God, Amen!
     I Henry Clay Burkholder of Woodward Township, Clearfield County, 
Pennsylvania, being in good bodily health and of said and disposing mind and 
memory, calling to mind the frailty and uncertainty of human life, and being 
desirous of settling my worldly affairs, do hereby make and publish this my 
last will and testament.
     All my property, real, personal or mixed which I possess, or to which I 
shall be entitled to, at the time of my decease I devise and bequeath to my 
beloved wife, Mary Etta Burkholder.
     I hereby and herein nominate and appoint Wm A. Gould of Brisbin 
Pennsylvania administrator of my estate.
     In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty 
ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eighty hundred and 
ninety seven.

     The above instrument, consisting of one sheet of paper was now here 
subscribed by Henry Clay Burkholder the Testator in the presence of each of us 
and was at the same time declared by him to be his last will and testament, 
and we at his request sign our names hereto attesting witnesses.

To the Register of Wills of Clearfield County Pa
     The petition of William A. Gould of the Borough of Brisbin, respectfully 
sets forth
    That Henry Clay Burkholder, a resident of Houtzdale Borough, died at his 
residence on the 9th day of December 1918, that the said Henry Clay Burkholder 
died testate, leaving a will, in which your petitioner is named executor.
     Your petitioner therefore prays that letters Testamentary be issued to 
him on said estate.
     That the said Henry Clay Burkholder is believed to have died possessed of 
real estate in Blair County, Pennsylvania the value of which is unknown to 
your petitioner, and of personal property, of the value of three hundred 
dollars.
     And, he will every pray

     Personally appeared before me, the Register of Wills in and for 
Clearfield County aforesaid, the said William a. Gould, above named petitioner 
who being duly sworn according to law doth depose and say that the facts set 
fourth above are true and correct.
