  John H. Slagle died April 20, 1955
  
  John H. Slagle died at his home in South Bethlehem today, Wednesday, April
  20, 1955.  He was born November 19, 1878, in Armstrong County, a son of
  Daniel and Anna Herring Slagle.  He was married to Gertrude Wise, who
  survives together with a daughter, Mrs. Floyd Walker, of New Bethlehem.
  There are four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  A brother, James
  Slagle, of New Bethlehem also survives.
  
  Friends are being received at the Vorous Funeral Home.  A funeral service
  will be held at the Methodist church at 2 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Fred
  Morris in charge.  Burial will be made in Mt. Zion cemetery.
