  David H. Shrum died March 1, 1940
  
  David H. Shrum, life-long resident of Clarion county, died in the Bashline
  hospital, North Wood street, this place, Friday, March 1, 1940 at 5:00 p.m.
  aged 61 years.  He had been ill for the past eight weeks and was a patient
  in the local hospital when death occurred.
  
  Mr. Shrum resided at Knox, Pa., R. D. 3, his late home being located near
  Turkey City.  He was a member of the Knox Presbyterian church.
  
  Deceased is survived by his widow, Eva Elizabeth (Reed) Shrum, two
  daughters, Mrs. Joseph Lucaturpo of New York, and Mrs. Charles  Irbin of New
  Bethlehem; one son, Henry Shrum of Knox.
  
  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, March 4 from the Miola
  Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. Logan of Summerville.  Interment took
  place in the Miola cemetery under the direction of Mortician W. S. Vorous.
