  Mrs. Mabel L. Shorts, 93, of Shippenville died Saturday, Feb. 22, 1975, in the 
  Mountain View Christian Home at Hillsdale.  

  Born May 20, 1881, at Duke Center, she was a daughter of the late William A. 
  and Lydia (JONES) MASTER.  She was married in 1910 to Clyde SHORTS who died in 
  1958.

  Mrs. SHORTS was a member of the Shippenville United Methodist Church, the 
  Bible Learners Class and the United Methodist Women.  She played piano for the 
  Sunday School until she was 85 years old.  She was also a member of the 
  Women's Christian Temperance Union (WCTU).

  Surviving are two daugters, Mrs. George (Mildred) KAPP of SR Marble and Mrs. 
  Joseph (Hazel) WORK of Indiana; one son, Leland of Danville, Ohio; one step-
  daugher, Mrs. Raymond (Grace) MANSON of Mayville, N.Y.; 14 grandchildren; 19 
  great grandchildren, and one brother, Myron M. MASTER of RD Knox.
  Two brothers, Earl and Harvey MASTER preceded her in death.
 
  Services were at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Shippenville United Methodist 
  Church.  The Rev. Jack L. Reaugh officiated, assisted by the Rev. Gene Lenk 
  and burial was in the Phipps Cemetery at RD Knox.
