Mary Etta Shook died November 11, 1955
Mrs. Mary Etta Shook, widow of W. J. Shook, died early Friday morning,
November 11, 1955, at the family home in Curllsville. She was born January
10, 1870, in Monroe township, Clarion county, a daughter of Philip J. and
Mary C. Shoemaker. She was married to W. J. Shook who passed away some
years ago.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Glovier, of New Kensington; a son,
Harold E. Shook, of Ingram, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Rebecca Fulmer, of
McKeesport. Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren also survive.
Mrs. Shook was a member of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed church, and a
member of the Church Guild.
Services were held Monday in the Grace Evangelical and Reformed church at
2:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Morris H. Cooper, of Greenville, Interment was
made in the Licking cemetery.
