Mrs. Sarah Foy (Fry) Collner, mother of our townsman, W. F. Collner, died
at her home in St. Petersburg, last Saturday morning at eight o'clock:
from a cancerous affection and the ills attending old age. Funeral services
were held in the Reformed church, Monday, at ten o'clock, conducted by
Rev. Ash of the Lutheran church, of Blair's Corners, in which she has been
a consistent member for many years. The deceased was born March 23,1820,
and was buried alongside of her husband in St. Petersburg cemetery, who
died on April 10th, 1894. She was the mother of eight children, six of
which survive her,Levi, Samuel, Harrison, Joseph, Lemuel, of St. Petersburg,
and William of this place. Also two brothers and one sister mourn her demise.
The remains were followed to their last resting place by a very large concourse
of sorrowing relatives and friends.
