     A B Donaway, druggist of Greensboro, Penna, was born 
near Brownsville, Fayette county, Penna, April 3, 1849. He 
is a son of John Donaway and Margaret Robinson Donaway, who 
were of Irish and English descent. His father, who was a 
teamster, died in 1882; his mother is still living at the 
advanced age of eighty seven years. They had a family of 
three sons and one daughter. 

     A B, the youngest of the family, was reared in 
Greensboro where he learned the potter's trade and followed 
it as a business until 1872. He then engaged in the drug 
business, in which he has met with unusual success.

     In 1878 Mr Donaway married Elizabeth Ewing, daughter of 
E O Ewing, and they have three children: Minor G Donaway; 
Katie Donaway; and Warren Donaway. 

     Mr Donaway is a Democrat, has been a member of the town 
council of Greensboro, and served as street commissioner. He 
also belongs to the Royal Arcanum.
