Original Marriage Bond & Consent of Hampton Haynes & Mildred

Dated: Bond & consent dated 6 Mar. 1793
Know all Men by thefe Prefants, that we Hampton
Haynes & Abner Ferrill
are held and firmly bound unto Henry Lee, Efquire, Go-
vernor, or Chief Magitrate of the State of Virginia in the
fum of Fifty Pounds, current Money, to which Pay-
ment well and truly to be made to the faid Henry Lee, or
to his Succeffors, we bind ourfelves and each of us, our,
and each of our Heirs, Executors, and Adminiftrators,
jointly and feverally, firmly by thefe Prefents. Sealed with
our Seals, and dated the 6th Day of March
1793.
The Condition of the above Obligation is fush, that whereas
there is a Marriage fhortly intended to be had and folemnized
between the above bound Hampton Haynes
and Mildred Ferrill . Now if
there fhall be no lawful Caufe to obftruct the faid Marriage then the
above Obligation to Void, elfe to remain in full force and Virtue
Signed, Sealed, and delivered Hampton Haynes (L.S.)
in Prefence of Abner Farel (L.S.)
I do here by Sertyfy that I have No Objecttions
