James Adams's Will.  Proved the 7th Novemr. 1768.  Chester Co., PA. Recorded 
Book E Vol 5, Page 88.  No 2452.

In the Name of God Amen.  This 15th Day of September Anno Domini 1766.  I 
James Adams of East Nottingham Province of Pennsylvania and County of Chester, 
being very sick and weak in Body, but yett of a perfect Mind and Memory thanks 
be to god, Therefore taking to Mind the Mortality of my Body and Knowing that 
its appointed for all Man Once to Die, Do make and ordain this my last Will 
and Testment, That is to say, Principally I Recommend my soul unto god who 
gave it, and my Body to the Earth, to be buried in a Christian like and 
Deacent Manner at the Discretion of my Executor and as touch in such worldly 
substance wherewith it hath pleased god to Bless me with in this life.

I Bequeath of the same in the following Manner and form

Imprimis, I give and Bequeath unto Frank Adam my well beloved wife all and 
singular the half of all my Estate both Real and Personal

Item, I give and Bequeath to Jonathan Adam my son all and Singualr the one 
half of the other half of all my Estate both real and personal

Item, I give and Bequeath unto Samuel Adams, my son forty shilling to be paid 
at Conveniancy after my Decease.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto Margret Adam my daughter the sum of forty 
shillings to be paid at Conveniancy after my decease.

Item, I give and Bequeath unto Jean Adam my daughter the sum of ? pounds to be 
paid at Conveniancy after my decease.

Item, I order that all my Just Debts by me Contracted May be Justly paid and 
Discharged and all Debts Justly owing to me May be collected and raised by my 
Executor.

Item, I order and appoint Frank Adam my wife Joseph Vanse and Jonathan Adam my 
son my whole and sole Executors of This my last will and Testament..

Item, I do hereby revok Disalow and Annull all other wills and Testaments by 
me in Any ways Made Either by word or written, Radifiing and Confirming this 
and no other to be my last will and Testament in witness whereof, I have 
hereunto sett to my hand and seal the Day and year above written.

Whereas I have omited and and being by reson of my Disorder that I am Laboring 
Under.

Item, I order that my daughter Joan that have one horse, colte of a bay Colur 
and also have it mentioned as Long as she stays about the house.

This alone thus to be apart of m y Last  will and Testment by sd previously 
pronouns to Docterd and proclaimed to be my Last will and Testament by
