Silver Wedding Anniversary.

One of the most pleasant social events that have recently occurred in
the neighboring county of Centre, was the celebration of the silver
wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Campbell at their pleasant
home at Fairbrook near Pennsylvania Furnace last Saturday.
Henry Clay Campbell and Miss Jane Ann Bailey were united in marriage
Feb. 6, 1868, ever since which time they have resided at Fairbrook
where Mr. Campbell has two of the best and most highly cultivated farms
in this section of the state. To celebrate the close of twenty-five
years of a happy life together guests to the number of 104 gathered at
the home of this hospitable couple on Saturday and spent a pleasant and
memorable day. There was music, speechmaking and a generally enjoyable
social holiday, all being seasoned with a bounteous dinner such as only
these worthy entertainers could provide. Host and hostess were royally
remembered by their friends in the bestowal of a large number of silver
gifts which were both costly and elegant. Mr. and Mrs. Campbell's many
friends here hope they may have many returns of this happy day.
