  Death of Ella Maud Chambers

This week it becomes our sad duty to record the death of Ella Maud, wife
of C.M. Chambers, which occured at the Williamsport Hospital whither she had
gone on Oct. 17 to undergo an operation for tuberculosis, from which she had
been a sufferer for about a year. She was born at Big Run, September 14, 1876
and had always lived in that section until the time of her marriage to Chas.
  M. Chambers on April 7, 1893; after which they came to Penfield where she
resided until the time of her death. She was well known and highly respected
by all who knew her and was an earnest working member of the M.E. church of
this place. She is survived by a husband, father brother and two sisters. The
funeral took place from the M.E. church at Big Run on Wednesday morning and
the remains were followed to their final resting place by a large concourse of
  relatives and friends.

  Additional Comments:
Until I discovered this obit, I had no idea that Charles M chambers had
married this woman. However, in all of the newspapers, Charles is referred to
as C.M. and I finally made the connection.
