Last Will and Testament of Joseph ROPP

I Joseph Ropp of Chest Township, Cambria County and State of Pennsylvania, 
Farmer, being in Good health of body and of sound and disposing mind and 
memory, do make and declare this to be my will in manner following (that is 
to say) my desire is to be Buried with as little expences as decency will 
permit, and that all my debts and funeral expences be paid as soon after my 
decease as conveniently may be. First I give and bequeathe all my lands and 
tenements situated in Chest Township Cambria County Pa. to my son Michael to 
have and to hold during his natural lifetime and after his death shoud his 
wife (Anna Mary Berlip) survive him then It is my will that the said Anna 
Mary to have the use of my said Farm as long as she remains Michael Ropps 
widdow and after her death or remarriage the said Farm to be the property of 
Michael Ropp Jr. son of Michael Ropp and the said Michael Ropp Jr. to pay out 
to each of his full Brothers and Sisters a reasonable amount of money 
according to the value of said Farm at that time. Should said Michael Ropp 
not live after the Death of his Father and Mother (or remarriage of his 
Mother then the Farm to be sold to highest bider and the money to be eaguely 
divided betwen the said Michael Ropps surviving Children. It is allso my will 
that after my death the note that Michael Nebower holds against me to be 
canceled, and the surviving children of Michael Nebower with my Doughter 
Barbara to receive an eaquel share of eight hundred Dollars out of the money 
that I have standing out amung different parties in notes and other credits 
to be collected by my Executors as soon as either of the said Michael 
Nebowers children would wish to use It, and those children of Michael Nebower 
with my Daughter Barbara who are too young or do not wish to use their money 
to receive interest for their share of the eight hundred Dollars and further 
I appoint my son Michael Ropp and Henry Leider to act as executors of this my 
last will and to have full power to execute the same.

Before my F.B. Jones, Register of the Probate of Wills and granting Letters 
of Administration in and for said County personally came John G. Gill and 
Fred Gill, the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Will and Testament, who 
being duly sworn according to law, do depose and say, that they were present 
and saw and heard Joseph Ropp, the within named testator, sign, seal, 
publish, pronounce, and eclare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for 
his last Will and Testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, 
memory, and understanding, to the best of their knowledge, observation and 
belief.
