I, Hezekiah Rager, of Jackson Township in the county of Cambria and State of 
Pennsylvania, Yeoman, being of sound mind,  memory and understanding do make and 
publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all 
former wills by me at any time heretofore made. 

And first -I direct that my body be decently interred in the Lambaugh grave 
yard, according to the rites and ceremonies of the Baptist Church, and that my 
funeral be conducted in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in 
life, as to such estate,  as it hath pleased God to in trust me with, I dispose 
of the same as follows: 

Item - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Martha, three hundred dollars, and 
one third of the proceeds of the real and personal estate, so long as she shall 
remain my widow.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Angeline, intermarried with Isaac 
Clark, Twenty-five dollars.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Winfield Scott, fifty acres of land on 
which he now lives.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Amos, the one half of one hundred and 
thirty-six and one-half acres on which he now resides.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Augustus, fifty acres of land on which he 
now resides.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Rolandus the remaining one half of 
 the one hundred and thirty-six and one -half acres on which Amos now resides.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Martha, twenty-five dollars.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Daniel Thomas, hundred dollars or 50 acres 
off the north end of the one Crawford tract as he may elect.

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Benjamin Franklin.  One hundred dollars.

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Barbara Adeline and my son Richard, my 
daughter Rebecca Sabina and my son Martin, all the residue of my estate, real 
and personal, excepting three hundred acres of land adjoining lands on which I 
now reside, commonly called the Stover tract, hereinafter disposed of to be 
equally divided between them.  I also direct that the above mentioned land ,call 
the Stover tract, shall  be sold by my executors and the proceeds applied to the 
payment of the bequests herein provided for in money and the residue, if any 
divided equally between the four younger children, provided that should any 
other children be borne to me, they shall have equal shares with those named -- 
Barbara A., Richard,  Rebecca S.,  and Martin .It is my will and desire that the 
balance of the Crawford Tract after taking off one hundred acres bequeath to my 
sons Winfield S and Augusts, shall be and remain in the possession of my wife, 
Martha ,so long as she remains my widow, for the purpose of raising and 
educating the younger children and at her death or marriage to be equally 
divided between the four children-- Barbara A., Richard ,Rebecca S., Martin and 
other, if any that may be hereafter born to me.

I do hereby constitute and appoint my said wife, Martha, executrix and my friend 
Twinam J. Bracken Executor of this my last will and testament.  In witness 
whereof I, Hezekiah Rager the testator, have to this my last will and testament 
written on one sheet of paper set my hand and seal this twenty-four day of 
January A.D., one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Hezekiah Rager, as and 
for his last will and testament in the  presence of us who have hereunto 
subscribed our names at his request as witness hereto in the presence of the 
said testator and of each other.

I, Hezekiah Rager, the above named testator, do hereby make and publish this 
codicil to my last will and testament , bearing date the 24th day of January 
A.D. 1882 in manner and form following to wit:

Item- I hereby revoke the condition requiring and directing the Stover tract to 
be sold and direct that two hundred acres of the east end only be sold as above 
directed.

Item - I do revoke the appointment of Twinam J. Bracken and I do hereby 
constitute and appoint my friend Daniel Sherman, in the ? and stead of T. J. 
Bracken, Executor on my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have 
hereunto set my hand and seal this thirty-first day of March AD one thousand and 
eight hundred and eighty-two.

hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, in the presence of the said 
testator and of each other

Before me Celestine J. Blair Register of the Probate of wills and granting 
Letters of Administration in and for said County personally came Saml. W. Drips 
and John D Drips, two of the subscribing witnesses of the foregoing will  who 
being duly sworn according to law does depose and say that they were present and 
saw and heard Hezekiah Rager, the within  named testator, sign, seal, publish, 
pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last  
will and testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind ,memory and 
understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief.

State of Pennsylvania

This day before me, Celestine J. Blair, Register of Wills in and for said County 
personally came T. W. Dick Esq. of Ebensburg, Pa. who being duly affirmed 
according to law says, that he is well acquainted with W. B, Dick, late a 
resident of Armagh, Indiana County, Pa. who was one of the subscribing witnesses 
to the last will and testament of Hezekiah Rager, late of said County deceased, 
that he is familiar with the handwriting of said W. B. Dick, having frequently 
seen him  write his own name as well, as other matters, that the said W. B. Dick 
is now in Topeka, State of Kansas that he has carefully examined the signature 
of W. B. Dick to the aforesaid last will and testament dated the 24th day of 
January AD 1882 and he verily believes the name to be in the own proper 
handwriting of the said W. B. Dick.
