Last Will and Testament of Richard Owens,

In the name of God, amen.  I Richard Owens, of the Township of 
Cambria and State of Pennsylvania, being sick, and weak in body, 
but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, 
praised be God for the same, do make and publish this my Last 
Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former 
wills by me at any time heretofore made.

First, I will that all my just debts and funeral expenses be 
paid by my Executors hereinafter named, as soon after my decease 
as possible.

Second, I will and bequeath to my beloved wife Esther Owens two 
thousand dollars to be paid her by my executors as soon after my 
death as conveniently may be.

Third, I will and bequeath to my Grand-daughter, Emily Rachel 
Francis, one bed and bedding, one clock ad one bureau.

Fourth, I will and bequeath to Lucy Owens, wife of Joseph Owens, 
five hundred dollars to be paid her by my executors out of 
whatever money may be in their hands after the payment of the 
above bequests.

Fifth, I will that all my estate remaining after payment of the 
above bequests shall be divided between the children of my son 
Joseph Owens and the children of Mary Ann Long, share and share 
alike.

Sixth, I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my beloved wife 
Esther Owens and my friend John Owens (Merchant) Executrix and 
executor of this my last will and testament, giving and granting 
unto my said Executrix and Executor full power and authority to 
sell and dispose of any or all of my real estate which they may 
in their discretion see proper to dispose of and to convey the 
same by warranty deeds, the same as I might or could have done 
if living.

In testimony I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty-
first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand Eight 
hundred and ninety-four.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named 
Testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence 
of us who in his presence and at his request have subscribed our 
names as witnesses hereto.

Before me, W. H. Strauss, Register of the Probate of Wills and 
granting Letters of Administration in and for said County, 
personally came Josua D. Parrish and P. J. Little the 
subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Last Will and Testament 
who being duly sworn according to law do depose and say, that 
they were present and saw and heard Richard Owens the within 
named testator sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the 
foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last Will and 
Testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, 
memory, and understanding, to the best of their knowledge, 
observation and belief.
