I, Margaret Jackson of Flinton, Reade Towp. in the county of Cambria and State
of pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and
publish this my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all
former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
And first, I direct that my funeral be conducted in a manner
corresponding with my estate and situation in life and that all my just debts
and funeral expenses be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may
be after my decease.
As to such estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of
the same as follows, viz:
To my beloved Sarah G. Kuhn, wife of G. B. Kuhn, Abraham S. Jackson, John M.
Jackson, Bessie M. C. Russell, wife of Geo. Russell, Dora G. Lowks, wife of
Frank Lowks, Lydia Rozella Jackson, I here by give and bequeath to each the
sum of one hundred ($100) dollars.
To my son Francis L. Jackson, I give and bequeath the sum of one ($1.00).
The reason that I hereby discriminate against my son Francis L. Jackson is
that he had formerly received a sum equal to the shares of my other heirs.
In addition to the one hundred ($100) dollars bequeathed to my daughter
Lydia Rozella Jackson, I hereby bequeath all my household and kitchen
furniture of whatsoever kind.
My real estate consisting of about 49 acres I hereby give and bequeath as
follows: Dividing my real estate by line or lines, from east to west, into
Three (3) equal parts, I hereby give and bequeath the central part or one
third to my son Francis L. Jackson, in addition to the one hundred (crossed
out) dollar formerly bequeathed.
To my son Abraham S. Jackson, in addition to the one hundred dollars
formerly bequeathed, I give and bequeath the one third part laying south or
along the public road leading from Glasgow to Coalport and the other one third
part laying north and adjoining lands with John VanScoyoc and others, I give
and bequeath to my son John M. Jackson, his being in addition to the one
hundred dollars formerly bequeathed.
And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint Abraham S. Jackson Executor
of this, my last will and testament.
In Witness Whereof, I, Margaret Jackson the Testator have to this, my
will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this Twenty Eighth
day of March A.D. One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Thirteen.
Margaret X (her Mark) Jackson
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above-named Margaret
Jackson as and for her last will and testament, in the presence of us, who
have hereunto subscribed our names at her request as witnesses thereto, in the
presence of the said Testator, and of each other. William Simmers
