In the name of God, Amen, I Daniel Farren Sr of Munster Township Cambria County and 
State of Pennsylvania being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind memory and 
understanding, praised be God, for it considering the certainty of death and the 
uncertainty of the time thereof and the end, I may be the better prepared to leave this 
world whenever it shall please God to call me hence do therefore make and declare this 
my last will and testament in manner following, that is to say first and principally 
commend my soul into the hands of Almighty God my Creator.  It is my desire to be 
buried in the ?living? ground at Loretto along side of my beloved wife and that all of my 
debts and funeral expenses be paid as soon after my decease as conviently may be.  I 
gave and bequeath all my real and personal estate to my 5 sons Dennis, Daniel, Edward, 
Philip and John to be divided share and share alike.  Also, it is my request that Mary 
Meloy shall get a bed and bedding and one cow.  I also bequeath to my son James, I 
bequeath to him one dollar, to my son Charles also one dollar and I do herby nominate 
constitue and appoint my sons Dennis and Edward to be my executors of this my last 
will, hereby revoking and making said all former wills and other wills and testaments 
set.  
In witness whereof, I said Daniel Farren Sr have to this my last will and testament set my 
hand this thirteenth day of January AD 1867

last will and testament in the presence of us who in the presence and at his request and in 
the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto

        Before me James Griffin Register for the Probate came Patrick B Smith and 
Cornelius Dever the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly sworn 
according to law, do say that they were present and saw and heard the above named 
testator Daniel Farren Sr sign seal publish pronounce and declare the within and 
foregoing insturment of writing as and for his last will and testament and at the time of so 
doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge 
observation and belief
