Last Will and Testament of Thomas DUMM, late of Carroll Township, deceased

The last will and testament of Thomas Dumm, of Carroll township, Cambria 
county, I Thomas Dumm, considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and 
being of sound mind and memory, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make 
and publish this, my last will and testament, in solemn [??] and form [??] 
the wit: First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife Magdalen all the 
estate and property now belonging to me, to her my much beloved wife 
Magdalene until my son John becomes of age, and of again that time my much 
beloved wife, if she is possible able to build a house adjoining teh house we 
now live in for her own convenience and if she is not able, she shall have 
the house I bought from Jacob Zorn formerly belonging to John Sharbach as 
long as she keeps my name or remains a widow, and if she takes another name, 
she will be forever be bound of having any part of the estate, goods or 
chattels, and after she goes to the join place or builds a house of her own, 
John must give two? cows, five hogs and one dozen chickens and he the said 
John my son is to keep her in provisions as long as she remains my widow, and 
the said John my son must give her two beds, one cooking stove, half a dozen 
chairs and all that is necessary for keeping house and she the said Magdalene 
my wife is to receive from John Yeagly eight bushels of wheat, three bushels 
of rye, three bushels buck wheat, two bushels of corn, ?? ?? if it is 
sufficient for the year or if not sufficient, she is to receive the same in 
proprotion sufficient to main her and she is also to have privilege and use 
of the garden on the join place and John has for to haul? as much manner on 
said gardens as is sufficient to keep them in good condition and he has also 
to supply her with for wood as much as she needs for her own use and also she 
is to receive the third of all the first that growns on the Zorn place and 
John has also to take his mother to church as of in as much as he possibly 
can in the one horse carriage and everything that is left what is not 
mentioned in this testament belongs to John and he has also to pay unto his 
sisters, Hannah and Mary Ann four hundred dollars each to be paid in twelve 
years after he becomes of age in annual and equal payments. I have hereunto 
set my hand and seal this twentyeth day of Nov. A.D. 1859. I appoint as my 
executor Steven Dumm and executrix Magdalena Dumm.

has subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto.
