LAST WILL & TESTAMENT OF ISAAC CRUM

In the name of God Amen. I, Isaac Crum of Summerhill Township Cambria County and 
State of Pennsylvania being in a good State of health of body and of sound & disposeing mind 
and memory praised be to God for the same and being desirous to settle my worldly affairs 
whilst I have strength and capacity so to do, do make & publish this my last will and testament 
hereby revokeing and making void all wills by me at any time heretofore made and first and 
principally I commit my soul into the hands of my creator who gave it and my body to the earth 
to be interred in such decent and Christian like manner a to my herein after mentioned executors 
may seem meet and as to such worldly estate wherewith it hath blessed God to entrust me.  I 
dispose of the same as follows viz:  I will that all my Just debts as shall be by me owing at my 
death together with my funeral expenses and all the charges touching the proving of or otherwise 
concerning this my will shall in the first place out of my personal Estate and Effects be fully paid 
and satisfied and from and after the payment thereof and subject hereto then my will is that my 
loving wife Susanna shall have and be entitled to for and during her life the third part of the 
production of all the land which I have cleared and also my black horse and my young brindled 
cow and my stove and bed and I do give and bequeath unto my Eldest son Ephraim 99 acres 
and 144 perches and allowance of the north west end of my land from a division line beginning 
at a stone on the North side of my land and running S. 52 W. to a post on the south side and I do 
give and bequeath unto my youngest son Isaac 120 acres and allowance of the south east end of 
my land on the opposite side of the division line before mentioned and I do also give unto my 
youngest son my young sorrel horse and my red cow and my rifle gun and one bed and I do give 
and bequeath unto and between my two sons Ephraim & Isaac each share and share alike my 
wagon and Blacksmith tools and I do give and bequeath unto my daughter Rachael three hundred 
dollars and it is my will that my personal property and effects be sold unto the highest bidder and 
all my debts be paid out of the same and the remainder applied to the use of paying my two 
before mentioned daughters shares as far as it will reach and the remainder which my personal 
property does not pay is to be paid by my two sons Ephraim and Isaac share and share alike each 
twenty five dollars annually until paid  and I do give & bequeath unto my youngest daughter 
Susanna and her heirs fifty eight acres and one hundred & forty five perches and allowance on 
which she now lives of the west end of my land bounded by a division line between where she 
now lives and the place where my eldest son Ephraim formerly lived beginning at a post and 
running N. 55 E. ten perches to a spruce thence N. 42 W. sixty perches to a spruce thence S. 74 
W. twenty four perches and five links to a beech on the outside line and I do make & ordain my 
eldest son Ephraim and William Benson Executors of this my last Will & Testament dated the 
nineteenth day of June one thousand eight hundred and twenty nine.

On the Ninth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty 
one personally came before me Philip Noon Register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters 
of Administration and for the County of Cambria aforesaid Fleetwood Benson Esquire and 
James McGough two of the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing and 
upon their solemn Oaths do depose and say that they personally present and saw and heard the 
within Instrument of writing as and for his last will & Testament that at the time of the doing 
thereof he the said Isaac Crum the testator was of a sound and disposing mind and memory 
according to the best of the deponents knowledge and belief and that they subscribed their names 
thereto as witnesses of said execution in his presence and at his request
