Peter BORN

Last will and testament of Peter Born of Elder Township in the County of 
Cambria State of Pennsylvania, I Peter Born considering the uncertainty of 
death and being of sound mind and memory do make and publish this my last 
will and testament in the following manner. I will and bequeath to my beloved 
wife all my personal property during her lifetime and after her death the 
personal property remaining I will derect my executor hereinafter named to 
make public sale of the same and devide the same equaly amongst my heirs and 
I will and bequeath my farm in Elder Township to my son John Born on the 
following conditions: He must keep and provide for his mother from the 
proceeds of the said Farm as long as she lives in a good and becoming way 
during her lifetime and after her death my son John Born can get the Farm for 
seven hundred dollars by paying my son Lewis two hundred dollars and one 
hundred dollars to my daughter Mary and one hundred dollars to my son Henry 
and my son John to retain one hundred dollars for his share in the Farm and 
the other two hundred dollars to be devided share and share equally among the 
other heirs and my land that is lying in Elder Township Cambria County Pa 
containing 14 acres bounded as follows on the south by land of G. 
Semelsberger on the north by Adam Hass on the East by John Patton on the west 
by Township Road. The said 14 acres I will and bequeath the described 
fourteen acres to my son Lewis Born and I derect my executor to pay $20 
dollars for masses for the repose of my soul and allso pay all my depts and I 
hereby nominate and appoint my son Lewis Born my lawful executor of this my 
last will in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 9" day 
of April A.D. 1887 signed sealed published and declared by the above named 
Peter Born to be his last will and testament in presence of us who at his 
request and in his presence subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

Before me Celestine J. Blair Register of the Probate of Wills and grating 
letters of Administration in and for said County personally came Anthony Anna 
and John Born the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing will who being duly 
sworn according to law do depose and say that they were present and saw and 
heard Peter Born the within named testator sign seal publish pronounce and 
declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his last will and 
testament and at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and 
understanding to the best of their knowledge observation and belief.

For the record of a Quit Claim Seal Acting as receipt and release of the 
property conveyed by Peter Born in this he to pay his son John Born subject 
to certain legacies contained herein. See record in Deed Book Vol. 76, page 
161 in the Recorders Office of Cambria County.
