Will of Henry Shaw
Late of Newry
Deceased

I Henry Shaw of the Borough of Newry County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania 
being of sound disposing mind memory and understanding do make publish and 
declare this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making null and void 
any and all former Wills heretofore made by me First I direct my executors to 
pay all my just debts and funeral expenses as soon as convenient, Second I give 
and bequeath to my beloved wife Mary Shaw all my moneys Notes and all other 
personal property Third, of all real estate that I may die seized of I give and 
devise to my beloved Wife Mary Shaw for and during her natural life and at her 
death I hereby direct my Executor hereinafter named to sell all of said real 
estate and to deliver therefore a good and sufficient Deed or Deeds of 
conveyance in fee simple to the purchaser or purchasers thereof with like force 
validity and effect as if I could have done in my life time. Fourth the proceeds 
arising from the sale or sales of the said real estate I direct the same be 
divided equally share and share alike between Edward Smith of Blair Township 
Blair County and State of Penna and each one of the nieces and nephews of my 
beloved Wife Mary Shaw, and each one of the nieces and nephews of myself the 
Testator or the survivors of any of the aforementioned. Fifth Lastly I hereby 
nominate Constitute and appoint my friends Lloyd Shaw and Edward Smith Executors 
of this my last Will and Testament In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my 
hand and seal to this my last Will and Testament this nineteenth day of May A.D. 
1903.

last Will and Testament signed in the presence of us and of each other and at 
the request of said Testator

(Codicil)

I do further direct that if my executor appointed in my Will (Namely) Lloyd 
Shaw, and Henry Edmond Smith does not perform the duties as Executors of said 
Will, then my Wife Mary Shaw will have full power to appoint other persons as 
she may direct to carry out the provisions of said my last Will as directed and 
Further direct that my Wife Mary Shaw shall have the power to sell the farm 
mentioned in said Will at any time she will think proper after my death.

This 18" day of September A.D. 1903, before me, J.W. Cliber, Register for the 
probate of Wills and granting letters of administration in and for the county of 
Blair personally came Enoch Harpster and A. Hoover the subscribing witnesses to 
the above Will, and being duly sworn according to law, did depose and say they 
were personally present and saw and heard Henry Shaw the Testator sign by making 
his mark seal publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument of writing 
as and for his Testament and last Will, that they signed their names in the 
presence and at the request of the said Testator and in the presence of each 
other, and at the time of so doing he said Testator was of perfect and sound 
mind, memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge and belief.
