Will of Roderic W. Parsons, Late of Altoona, Deceased

I, Roderic W. Parsons of the City of Altoona, County of Blair, and State of 
Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and 
publish this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all 
former wills by me at any time heretofore made.
  First. - I order all my just debts and funeral expenses to be paid by my 
executrix hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.
  Second. - I give, devise and bequeath unto my wife, Sarah E. Parsons, her 
heirs and assigns forever, all my estate, real, personal or mixed, of 
whatever nature or kind, or wheresoever situate at the time of my decease.
  I do hereby make, constitute and appoint Sarah E. Parsons to be executrix 
of this my last Will and Testament.
  In witness whereof I, Roderic W. Parsons, the testator above named, have 
hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the Eighth day of August in 
the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and thirteen (1913).

  Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Roderic W. 
Parsons, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who 
have hereunto subscribed our names at his request as witnesses thereto, in 
the presence of said testator and of each other.

  This 15th day of August A.D. 1918, before me, G. C. Irwin, Register for the 
Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County 
of Blair, personally came J. F. Meck and Julian Millard the subscribing 
witnesses to the above will, and being duly sworn according to law, did 
depose and say they were personally present and saw and heard Roderic W. 
Parsons the testator, sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the 
foregoing instrument of writing as and for his testament and last will, that 
they signed their names in the presence and at the request of the said 
testator and in the presence of each other, and that at the time of so doing 
he, the said testator, was of perfect and sound mind, memory and 
understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.

  Before me, the Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of 
Administration in and for the County of Blair, personally came Sarah E. 
Parsons of 420 3rd Avenue, Altoona, who, being duly sworn, doth depose and 
say that as executrix of the last Will and Testament of Roderic W. Parsons, 
decased, she will well and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights 
and credits of said deceased according to law.  And also will diligently 
comply with the provisions of the law relating to Collateral Inheritances.

To George C. Irwin, Register of Wills:

  The petition of Sarah E. Parsons, of City of Altoona, in the County of 
Blair and State of Pennsylvania, respectfully shows that your petitioner is 
the executrix named in the last will and testament of said above named 
deceased, and that said will is herewith deposited for probate; that said 
deceased departed this life at his residence in the City of Altoona, on the 
fifth day of August, A.D. 1918, at or about 9.25 o'clock P.M., and that said 
deceased was at or immediately previous to his death, a citizen of the United 
States and an inhabitant of said county of Blair and State of Pennsylvania.
  That the probable value of the personal property of the estate is none 
Dollars; and that the probable value of the real property of the estate is 
Eleven thousand Dollars, and its character is as follows:

1. Town or City property, improved value, $11,000 located in City of Altoona, 
Blair County, Pennsylvania, 416-418-420-422 3rd Avenue.
2. Town or City property, unimproved value, $ none, located in 
3. Farm property, value $ none, located in 
4. Wild land, value $ none, located in 

  That Sarah E. Parsons, who resides at no. 420 Third Avenue, City of 
Altoona, Blair County and State of Pennsylvania, is named in said will as 
Executrix, and your petitioner prays that said will be proved and Letters 
testamentary be granted on said estate to Sarah E. Parsons.
  Dated the fifteenth day of August, A.D. 1918
