Last Will & Testament of Joseph Nixdorf

I Joseph Nixdorf of Altoona Blair County PA laborer, do make this my last
will.  I give devise and bequeath my Estate and property real and personal
as follows that is to say:

First. after the payment of my funeral expenses I desire a good but plain
marble head stone and foot stone to mark my grave.

Second. my Silver watch I bequeath to Joseph Nixdorf Fettinger son of Henry
and Catharine Fettinger of Altoona Pa.

Third.  To my daughter Catharine Fettinger of Altoona Pa I bequeath fifty
dollars for attention during my illness, which sum is to be paid out of my
estate before any of the following bequests are paid.

Fourth.  If any money is left after the payment of the preceeding amounts,
I desire a good plain Iron fence to be placed around my lot in the Public
Cemetery in Altoona Pa.

Fifth.  To my two sons Henry Nixdorf and Frederick Nixdorf, I bequeath each
One Dollar they having already received large sums.

Sixth.  The remainder of my Estate I then desire to be equally divided among
my five other children namely John Nixdorf, Mrs. Sarah Shorno (?), Mrs.
Elizabeth Ruth, Mrs. Susan Offlebaugh (all of Lancaster Pa.) and Mrs.
Catharine Fettinger of Altoona Pa.

Seventh.  I appoint Henry Fettinger of Altoona Pa of this my will.

In Witness whereof I have signed and sealed and published and declared this
instrument as and for my last will at Altoona Blair County Pennsylvania this
twelfth day of June A.D. Eighteen hundred and seventy seven.

The said Joseph Nixdorf at Altoona Pa on the said Twelfth day of June A.D.
1877 signed and sealed this instrument and published and declared the same
as and for his last Will and we at his request and in his presence and in
the presence of each other have hereunto written our names as subscribing
Witnesses.

This 8th day of April A.D. 1880 before me A. Lingenfelter Register for the
Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for Blair
County personally came J. L. Reifsneider and Samuel Sprankle the subscribing
witnesses to the above will and being duly sworn according to law did depose
and say, they were personally present and saw and heard Joseph Nixdorf the
Testator sign, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing instrument
of writing as and for his testament and last Will that they signed their
names in the presence and at the request of the said testator, and in the
presence of each other and that at the time of he the said testator was of
perfect and sound mind, memory, and understanding to the best of their
knowledge and belief.

Before me the register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of
Administration in and for the County of Blair personally came Henry
Fettinger who being duly sworn does depose and say that as Executor of the
last will and Testament of Joseph Nixdorf deceased he will well and truly
administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits which were of said
deceased according to law.  Also that the estate and effects real and
personal for or in respect of which the above probate is applied for does
not in value exceed the sum of Ten Hundred dollars to the best of their
judgement, knowledge & beliefs.

Henry Fettinger Ex. of the last Will & Testament of Joseph Nixdorf
Memorandum.  Proof of Death filed Letters of Administration were this day
issued to Henry Fettinger Executor of Joseph Nixdorf deceased.  Inventory
to be filed in Thirty days and a true account and reckoning to be filed
within one year or when thereunto lawfully required.
