Last Will & Testament of Jane Kyle
Late of Tyrone Township, Deceased.

The Last Will & Testament of Jane Kyle of Tyrone Township, Blair County and 
State of Pennsylvania. I Jane Kyle understanding the uncertainty of this 
mortal life and being of sound mind and memory  (Blessed be God for the same) 
do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form 
following (that is to say) Item, I bequeath unto Polly Stewart that now lives 
with me One hundred and fifty dollars my Gray mare one bed and bedding and 
curtains and window curtains one table one stand and looking glass and tea 
ware, my floor carpeting my bookcase and waiters, my black silk frock and 
black silk petticoat black shawl my rocking chair and settee____ and the 
remainder of my clothes to be divided amongst my friends.  Item, I give and 
bequeath to Marcy Stewart wife of Robert Stewart one bed and bedding and 
curtains and my library what __?__.  Item, I give and bequeath to Elizabeth 
Stewart my niece Fifty dollars and one small trunk.  Item, I give and bequeath 
to Mrs. Sarah Mitchell my niece Fifty dollars.  Item, If there should be any 
Balance left after paying off the above legacies, I give and bequeath it to 
the American Board of Publication.  Item I give and bequeath unto Margaret 
Duncan six silver tea spoons and silver ___ tongs and one white  __?__ quilt, 
I do nominate and appoint James Morrow Executor of this my Last Will and 
Testament.  I publish and declare this and none other to be my Last Will & 
Testament.  In Witness thereof I have herewith set my hand and seal the second 
day of June in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty-eight.

Blair County SS:

Before me the Register for the Probate of Wills granting letters of 
Administration in and for said County personally appeared William McCormick 
who being duly sworn according to law, doth depose and say that he was 
personally present and did see and hear the above named Jane Kyle sign, seal, 
execute, publish, pronounce and declare the wishes and foregoing instrument of 
writing as and for her Las Will & Testament and that to this deponent(?) did 
sign his name as a witness thereto in the presence of the other subscribing 
witness (James Wilson Esq.) and in the presence of this deponent and in the 
presence of the said Testatrix, and at her request sign his name thereunto as 
a witness, and that at the time of signing the same the said Testatrix was of 
sound disposing mind, memory and understanding to the best of his knowledge 
and belief.

Blair County ss:

Personally appeared before me the Register for the Probate of Wills and 
granting Letters of Administration in and for said County Matthew C. Wilson of 
Tyrone Township in the said County of Blair, who being duly sworn according to 
law, doth depose and say that he is well acquainted with the handwriting of 
James Wilson Esq. Late of the said township of Tyrone, that he has frequently 
seen him (the said Wilson) write, and that he knows his signature to the 
foregoing instrument of writing is the proper handwriting of the said James 
Wilson Esquire now deceased.

Blair County ss:

Before me the Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of 
Administration in and for said County personally came James Morrow who being 
duly sworn according to law, doth depose and say that as Executor of the Last 
Will and Testament of Jane Kyle deceased he will well and truly administer the 
goods and chattels rights and credits of the said deceased, according to law, 
and that he will faithfully regard and will and truly comply with the 
provisions of the law relating to collateral instances.

James Morrow Executor of Jane Kyle, Deceased.

Memorandum.  Letters Testamentary were this day issued to James Morrow, on the 
estate of Jane Kyle, late of Tyrone Township, Blair County, deceased.  
Inventory to be exhibited in thirty days from this date, and a just and true 
account, calculation and reckoning of his Administration of said estate within 
one year from this date hereof, or when thereunto legally required.  Given 
under seal of office this 24th day of April Amino Domini 1851.  
Inventory and ___ list filed the 22nd day of May Amino Domini 1851.  And now 
April 24th A.D. 1851.  Armstrong Crawford Williams McCormick (assessor) 
appointed to value appraise the real and personal estate of said deceased 
under the ____ was of the Act of the General Assembly of 10 April A.D. 1849.  
Said appointment returned and filed 29th May A.D. 1851.  Administration 
account passed and filed the 28th December A.D. 1853.
Prosecuted to O. Court to Feby 3 Amino Domini 1854.
