Written: May 17, 1886
In the Name of God, Amen
I David Koon of Allegheny Township County of Blair, State of Penna
being of sound mind and memory do hereby make my last will and
testament in manner and form following: hereby revoking any will or
wills heretofore made by me. First, I direct all my just debts and
funeral expenses to be fully paid and satisfied, as soon as
conveniently may be after my decease.
Second I give and bequeath to my wife Elizabeth Koon my house and lot
in Duncansville. I also bequeath to her all my household and kitchen
furniture, one horse, buggy and harness also five hundred dollars in
money and the last years income from my brick house farm.
Third To my only son David Koon I give eight hundred dollars in
money.
Fourth After the above bequeaths, I desire that all the balance of my
estate both real estate and personal property be appraised and sold.
and the proceeds divided "share and share alike" between my wife and
children namely Elizabeth Koon, Levania Wilt, Faucana Otto, David Koon
and Clay anna Kinsel.
Fifth I desire my son to have the first chance to accept or purchase
my farm or farms at the appraised value.
Sixth I hereby appoint Joseph Hutchison the executor of this my last
will and testament they giving bonds.
In witness thereof I the testator have set my hand and seal this

I David Koon the within named testator do hereby make and publish
this codicil to be added to my last will and testament bearing date
this 17 day of May AD 1886 in mnanner following I give and bequeath to
the Duncard Church to which I belong the sum of One Hundred dollars to
be paid soon after my decease. In witness whereof I have set my hand

This 26 day of April A. D. 1887, before me, Chas R. Downing, Register
for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and
for the County of Blair, personally came C. Blythe Jones and M Zeigler
the subscribing witnesses to the above will, and being duly sworn
according to law, did depose and say they were personally present and
saw and heard David Koon, the testator, sign, seal, publish, pronounce
and declare the foregoing instrument of writing as and for his
testament and last will, that they sign their names in the presence and
at the request of the said testator, and in the presence of each other,
and that at the time of so doing he, the said testator, was of perfect
and sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their
knowledge and belief. C. B. Jones

Before me, the register for the Probate of Wills and granting letters
of Administration in and for the County of Blair, personally came
Joseph Hutchison who, being sworn, does depose and say that as executor
of the last Will and Testament of David Koon, deceased, he will well
and truly administer the goods and chattels, rights, and credits of
said deceased, according to law and also will diligently comply with
the provisions of the law relating to Collateral Inheritances. Also,
that the estate and effects, real and personal, for or in respect of
which the above Probate is applied for does not in value exceed the sum
of Seven Thousand Dollars, to the best of his knowledge and belief
