Blair County, PA Will Book B, pp. 144-145

Last Will and Testament of Martin Klotz, Decd.

The last will and testament of Martin Klotz of Greenfield Township in the
County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania. I, Martin Klotz considering the
uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound mind, memory &
understanding, Blessed be Almighty God for the same, do make and publish this
my last will and Testament, in manner and form following (that is to say) first
I give and bequeath unto my son John Klotz five hundred dollars and I give and
bequeath unto my daughter Mary now decd children one hundred and three dollars.
I then give and bequeath unto my son David Klotz now deceased, to his children,
two hundred Dollars, and as my daughter Catharine intermarried to John Smith
has sold her legacy in my estate to my son Abraham and give him a release in
full, therefore she has nothing coming to her out of my estate real or personal
and whereas my said son Abraham Klotz is now deceased therefore I give and
bequeath my plantation whereon I now dwell, containing about one hundred acres
more or less, situate in the township and county aforesaid unto the children of
my said son Abraham share and share alike, subject however to the payments of
the above legacies in this my last Will, the first legacy to my son John to be
paid two years after my decease, the second legacy to be paid to my Daughter
Mary's children to be paid two years after that of the first payment, the third
legacy to my son David's children to be paid two years after that of the second
payment making in all six years after my decease -- and it is expressly my Will
and meaning, that the legacys then have to my son Abraham children shall not be
charged with any part of the raising and education of the said children but the
legacy shall be free to them, when they arrive to lawful age or the same can be
made out of my real estate, and I here commit the guardianship of their legacys
to my son John Klotz and Philip Pringle who also is the executor of my son and
their father Abraham Klotz' last will & testament; And lastly I do hereby
appoint my son John Klotz and Philip Pringle sole Executors of this my Last
Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former wills by me made, In witness I
have hereunto set my hand and seal the ninth day of May A.D. one thousand eight
hundred and fifty seven.
