Will of Sarah Dively, late of Claysburg, PA, Deceased

I Mrs. Sarah Dively, (Widow) of Claysburg, County of Blair and State of 
Pennsylvania, being of sound mind, memory and understanding, do make and publish 
this, my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former 
wills by me at any time heretofore made.

And First, I direct that my funeral be conducted in manner corresponding with my 
estate and situation in life, and that all my just debts and funeral expenses be 
fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

As to such estate as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the 
same as follows, Viz:

I direct my herein after named executor, to make sale sell my personal property, 
and real estate, consisting of a house and lot with improvements, in the village 
of Claysburg, Pa. and the proceeds derived therefrom, together with all money in 
Bank, notes, bonds, etc., shall be divided share and share alike, to my 
following named children, namely, Calvin U. Dively, Harry Dively, Mrs. Emma 
Dively Fickes, and John W. Dively, a Judgment Note as per date of February, 
26th, 1923, for one hundred dollars, ($100.00) payable one year after date 
signed by John W. Dively and his wife, shall be taken as part payment of his 
share of the above distribution.

I do hereby authorize and empower my hereinafter named Executor, to sell my real 
estate, without order of Court, at either public or private sale, convey the 
same to purchaser or purchasers by good and sufficient deed.

I do hereby make, constitute and appoint Calvin U. Dively, of Claysburg, Pa. to 
be executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I, Mrs. Sarah Dively (Widow), the testatrix above named, have 
hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal the 24th day of June, in the 
year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Mrs. Sarah Dively, 
(Widow), as and for her last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who have 
hereunto subscribed our names at her request as witnesses, thereto, in the 
presence of said testatrix, and of each other.

This 20 day of October A.D. 1924, before me, Thomas G. Peoples, Register for the 
Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for the County of 
Blair, personally came William Leslie and Jacob Carn the subscribing witnesses 
to the above will, and being duly sworn according to law, did depose and say 
they were personally present and saw and heard Sarah Dively the testatrix, sign, 
by making her mark, seal, publish, pronounce and declare the foregoing 
instrument of writing as and for her testament and last will, that they signed 
their names in the presence and at the request of the said testatrix and in the 
presence of each other, and that at the time of so doing she, the said 
testatrix, was of perfect and sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best 
of their knowledge and belief.

Before me, the Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of 
Administration in and for the County of Blair, personally came Calvin U. Dively 
of Claysburg, Pa., who, being duly sworn doth depose and say that as executor of 
the last Will and Testament of Sarah Dively deceased, he will well and truly 
administer the goods and chattels, rights and credits of said deceased according 
to law, and also will diligently comply with the provisions of the law relating 
to transfer inheritances.

IN THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR OF WILLS OF BLAIR COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, County of Blair, SS:

In the matter of the Estate of Sarah Dively Deceased, to Thomas G. Peoples, 
Register of Wills:

The petition of Calvin U. Dively of Claysburg in the County of Blair and State 
of Pennsylvania, respectfully shows: that your petitioner is the Executor named 
in the last will and testament of said above named deceased, and that said will 
is herewith deposited for probate; that said deceased departed this life at her 
Daughter's residence in the City of Altoona on the 15 day of October A.D. 1924, 
at or about 8:30 o'clock A.M.; and that said deceased was at or immediately 
previous to her death, a citizen of the United State and an inhabitant of said 
County of Blair and State of Pennsylvania; that said deceased has not married 
and no children have been born to her since the execution of said Will, except 
as follows:

That the probable value of the personal property of the estate is Five Hundred 
fifty Dollars; and that the probable value of the real property of the estate is 
One thousand Dollars, and its character is as follows:

1. Town or City property, improved, value, $1000.00 located in Claysburg, Pa.
2. Town or City property, unimproved, value, $----, located in ----.
3. Farm property, value, $----, located in ----.
4. Wild land, value, $----, located in ----.

That Calvin U. Dively who resides at No. Claysburg, Blair County and State of 
Pennsylvania, is named in said will as Executor and your petitioner prays that 
said will be proved and Letters Testamentary be granted on said estate to Calvin 
U. Dively.

Calvin U. Dively being duly sworn, says that the foregoing petition by him 
subscribed, is true of his own knowledge, except those matters which are therein 
stated upon his information and belief, and that as to those matters he believes 
them to be true.

Letters Testamentary upon the Estate of Sarah Dively, late of Claysburg, Pa., 
deceased, were, on the 20th day of October A.D. 1924, granted to Calvin U. 
Dively, of Claysburg, Pa.
