Will of Peter Hileman, Kittanning, Armstrong Co., PA  1833


In the name of God Amen,  I Peter Hileman of the Township of Kittanning in the
County of Armstrong being in perfect health of body and of sound mind memory
and understanding, but from my advanced age and knowing the uncertainty of
life, I do make this my last will and testament writing as follows, to wit: 
For a as much as I have heretofore made such provisions as my circumstances
would admit for[?] my several children, so far as respects my real estate, and
for as much as my son Jacob hath given his bond of this estate conditioned upon
the support of myself and my wife during our natural lives, and the lives of
each of us.  It is therefore my will and I do hereby devise as follows  I do
give and bequeath to my said son hereby all my personal estate whatsovever
which I now have or hereinafter may possess to have and to hold to him the said
Jacob Hileman his heirs and assigns forever with this following exception, there
is of ten bonds this day executed by the said Jacob which I leave to the several
persons in whose favor they are drawn. And I do hereby nominate constitute and
appoint my friend Simon Lanny to be the Executor of this my last will and
testament, hereby desiring and requesting him the said Simon Lanny to attend to
and superitend the decent burial of myself and my said wife Elizabeth at the
proper costs and expense of the said Jacob Hileman. In testimony whereof I have
hereunto set my name and seal this second day of February in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven. Peter Hileman   {seal}

Signed, sealed, published , pronounced and declared by the said Peter Hileman
as his last will and testament in the presence of us

Before me John Croll Register for the probate of wills and granting Letters of
Administration in the foresaid county, personally came Thomas Blair & David
Johnston who being duly sworn according to law depose and say that they were
present , and saw and heard Peter Hileman the Testator in the forgoing will
named, sign, seal and as his last will and testament published and pronounced
the foregoing instrument and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind
memory and understanding to the best of their observation and beliefs. Tho.
