In the name of God, Amen.
I, Jeremiah Nickeson of West Bethlehem Twp., County of Washington, State of Penna. 
being of sound mind, memory and understanding, knowing the uncertainty of life and the 
certainty of death, do make and publish this my last will and Testament.  And first I 
direct that my body be decently interred in the Graveyard at the Braden home according 
to the rites and ceremonies of the Lutheran Church, and that my funeral be conducted 
in a manner corresponding with my estate and situation in life.  As to such an estate 
as it hath pleased God to intrust me with, I dispose of the same as follows  viz.
 
Item  I give, divise and bequeath to my son William Nickeson all the right, title and 
interest of my farm  situated in West Bethlehem Tp., County of Washington State of 
Penna. as described in deed herein found.  My son William to pay to my son Jacob 
Nickeson $300.00 in addition to what he has already received  said $300.00 to be paid 
by my son William to my son Jacob within 3 years after my death.  Also my son William 
to pay my daughter Rebecka Nickeson $1200.00 hereby made a charge on the real estate 
herein before devised to William Nickeson.  The same to be paid upon the demand of the 
said Rebecka Nickeson.  Also my son William to pay from said estate to my Grandaughter 
Susan Wansetler, the sum of $5.00 in addition to what has already been received by my 
daughter Pollie Nickeson (intermarried with William Wansetler) and mother of said 
Susan Wansetler.

Item  I give, divise and bequeath to my son William Nickeson, one cow.

Item  I give, divise and bequeath to my daughter Rebecka Nickeson, two cows.

Item  I give, divise and bequeath to my son William Nickeson and my daughter Rebecka 
Nickeson the balance of personal property remaining on my farm - at my death  to be 
equably divided between them.

I hereby revoke all former wills made by me.

I do hereby constitute and appoint my nephew George S. Prall sole executor of this my 
last will and testimony.

Easure(?) of "on my farm" made before signing.

In witness whereof I, Jeremiah Nickeson the testator, have to this my will written on 
paper, set my hand and seal this, the 28 day of July A.D. 1877

Signed, sealed, published and delivered by the above named Jeremiah Nickeson as and 
for his last will and testament in the presence of us, who have hereunto subscribed 
our names at his request as witness thereof in the presence of the said testator and 
each other.

Be it remembered, that upon this 31st day of May 1882 before me John F. Cooper 
Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration within and 
for said county, came J. Add. McIlvaine and W. H. Braden the subscribing witnesses to 
the foregoing attached Will of Jeremiah Nickeson deceased, who, after being duly 
qualified according to law, depose and say:  That they were present at the execution 
of said Will --- saw the testator sign the same by making his mark --- heard him 
publish it as and for his last Will and testament: that they at his request, in his 
presence, and in the presence of each other, subscribed their names hereto as 
witnesses.

In the Estate of Jeremiah Nickerson (sic) 
Probate of Will before Jno. F. Cooper
Register of Washington County Pa.

Sir:  The Executor named in the will of Jeremiah Nickerson, to wit, George S. Prall is 
not now and has not been for sometime past a resident or citizen of Pennsylvania, 
having left this county some years ago to permanently locate in the west.  This being t
he case, and the said Jeremiah Nickerson leaving no widow I would respectfully ask you 
to grant Letters of administration c.t.a to Wm. Nickerson.
Witness my hand and seal this 30th day of May A.D. 1882

In the matter of the Probate of the Will of Jeremiah Nickerson (sic)
Before Jno. F. Cooper Esq, Register of Washington County, Pennsylvania
The petition of Wm Nickerson respectfully represents that he is the second son of 
Jeremiah Nickerson decd, that Jacob Nickerson who has signed the attached request for 
the Register to appoint your petitioner Administrator c.t.a is the oldest son, that Jer
emiah Nickerson left no widow.  Your petitioner would further represent that George S. 
Prall the person named in the will of the said Jeremiah Nickerson as executor is not a 
resident or citizen of the Commonwealth, but that he left this county some three years 
ago to permanently locate in the West and is now or is said to be a citizen and 
resident of the State of Indiana.  Your petitioner further represents that all the 
legatees under the will are desirous that he take out letters of Administration with 
the will attached.

It being adjudged that the said will has been duly proved, and George S. Prall the 
person named in the will as executor having removed without the Commonwealth.  Letters 
of Administration c.t.a are issued to William Nickeson who gave an approved bond, and 
who was duly qualified by John F. Cooper, Register.
