CRAFFORD, ELISABETH - 1837

LAST WILL & TESTAMENT

Washington County, PA Will Book #5, Pages 308-309

The last will and testament of Elisabeth Crafford of Hanover Township 
Washington County

Witnesseth that I dispose of my worldly good[s] and Chattles in the following 
manner viz

I give and bequeath to my son Isaac Crafford my cow my chest my large kettle 
my armed chair my bake-iron and I also direct that a note I hold upon my said 
son Isaac shall be given up to him without payment

I give and bequeath to my grand-daughter July Ann Crafford my copper tea 
kittle my bedstead and stand of curtains

I give and bequeath to my grand-daughter Elizabeth Huffman my silver tea 
spoons

I give and bequeath to my grand-son Isaac Crafford my linen table Cloth

I give and bequeath to my grand-son Robert Crafford my table and small trunk

I direct my cupboard furniture consisting of China Glass delf [Delft] & 
queens-ware to be divided equally between my son Isaac Crafford's four 
children viz Elijah Crafford, Isaac Crafford, Robert Crafford and July Ann 
Crafford

I give and bequeath to my two daughters Rebecca Thompson and Ann Boyles my 
bed and bedding my wearing apparel including all my bed clothes Table linen 
towels & to be divided between them share and share alike.

I give and bequeath to my grand-daughter Ruth Crafford my looking glass.

Lastly I direct all my property not heretofore disposed of to be sold at the 
discretion of my executor and after the payment of my funeral expenses I 
direct the remainder to be equally divided between my two daughters Rebecca 
Thompson and Ann Boyles.

I hereby appoint my son Isaac Crafford executor of this my last will and 
testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal April 8, 
1836.

Be it remembered on this 11th day of January A.D. 1837 before me Sam'l 
Cunningham Register for the Probate of Wills and greeting letters of 
Administration in and for said County cause James McFarren Esq and John 
Horner the subscribing witnesses to the within Last Will and Testament Of 
Elisabeth Crafford dec'd who being duly sworn as the law directs doth depose 
and say that they were personally present and did see the Testatrix herein 
named make her mark to the within will and did hear her publish and pronounce 
and declare the same as and for her last will and Testament & that at the 
time she did so she was of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding 
to the best of their Knowledge observation and belief
