In the name of God Amen this seventeenth day of February 1803 I
Robert Caldwell of Straban township County of Wasington & state of
Pensylvania being of sound mind and memory, calling to mind the mortality
of my Body knowing that it is Appointed for all men once to die do make
and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say first I give my
sould into the hands of Almighty god that gave it and my Body I recomend
to the Earth to be buried in a Christian maner Nothing doubting but at
the general Resurection I shall receive the same again by the mighty
power of God, and as touching such worldly Estate as I possess I give
demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form that is
to say
First I give and bequeathe to my wellbeloved wife Jane the one
third part of the profits arising from any Real Estate under the
Exceptions after mentioned, Together with all my Personal Estate every
part and parcel under the Exceptions after mentioned with the Sole Right
of disposing thereof at her death. Also the Right of living in and
enjoying the mansion or dwelling house and fire wood suficient during the
time she continues my widow, also all the debts outstanding due to me
whether by Bond notes or Book accounts or otherwise
Second I give and Bequeathe to my son John two Dollars
Third I give and Bequeathe to my son James Eight Dollars
Fourth I give and Bequeathe to my son Joseph two Dollars
Fifth I give and Bequeathe to my son William two Dollars
Sixth I give and Bequeathe to my son George Eight Dollars
Seventh I give and Bequeathe to my son Arthur the plantation I
now live on as I have mad a convience to of it to him some time past and
also, one plow and J___ and harrow mare and sadle one cow
Eight I give & Bequeathe to my Daughter Margret three Dollars
Ninth I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Agness three Dollars
Tenth I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Mary three Dollars
Eleventh I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Elizabeth three
Dollars
Twelfth I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Jane three Dollars
Thirteenth I give and Bequeathe to my Daughter Ann one Mare and
Saddle a bed and suficient cloths for the same one cow and forty Dollars
in Money
I do further order and ordain that all the debts I justly owe and funeral
expense be paid out of my personal estate and the Legacies hereby
Bequeathed be paid as soon after my decease as they are called for.
And I do hereby Constitute make and ordain Thomas B_____ and William
Hincy Executors of this my last Will and Testament and do disalow and
revoke all and Every other Testments Wills Legacies Bequests and
Executors by me in any ways before named Willed and bequeathed, ratifying
and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and testament in
Witnefs Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year
above mentioned or ___ Signed Sealed published pronounced and declared by
me the said Robert Caldwell as my last will and testament in presence of

Be it remembered on the 26th day of July A.D. 1803 personally
appeared before me John Israel Register for the probate of wills &
granting letters of Administration in and for said county John Brown &
John Fryar subscribing witnesses to the aforegoing Instrument in Writing
who being duly sworn according to law do declare and say that they were
personally present and heard and saw the within named Testator sign seal
publish pronounce and declare the within Instrument in writing as and for
his Last Will and Testament ---- That at the time of the Execution
thereof he the said Testator was of sound and disposing mind memory and
understanding according to the best of their knowledge observation and
belief. That they sign their named thereto as witnesses in the presence
of the Testator and at his request and that they saw Aron Williams the
Absent witness Likewise sign his name thereto.
