Will of Jesse Beatty, Cross Creek Township  Will probated 26 November, 1818 

In the name of God, Amen

I, Jesse Beaty, of Cross Creek Township, Washington County, State of
Pennsylvania. farmer, being weak in body, but sound in mind  and memory, and
knowing that it is appointed for all men to die, do make and ordain this, my
last will and testament in manner and form as follows:

   I bequest to my beloved mother, Margaret Beaty, forty dollars, to be paid to
her when the money is received of the land sold by my father (or said to be
sold) to my brother Thomas ---- (not clear) 

   I bequest unto my brother, William Beaty two horse creatures, viz one sorrel
horse and one bay horse, one silver watch, my bed and bedding, all my grain in
the stack and in the ground, my windmill, plow and irons, all my gear, saddle
and bridle, my wearing apparrel, and one hundred fifty dollars in money when
the land is sold.  with one---( not clear ), and the remainder of the money of
the land sold, after my, mothers forty dollars is paid, the one half to
William, his paying my just debts and funeral expenses. also all other of my
personal property not herein willed, he paying to my stepson, Jesse Beaty ten
dollars.

   I bequeath to my sister, Margaret Beaty, one roan horse, one cow, two calves,
three old sheep and three lambs, one hundred dollars in money when the land is
sold and we have the money for the land, also the other half of the money for
the land sold, as mentioned above, and after my mother receives her forty
dollars after the land is sold

   The remainder of the money to be divided  between my mother and my brothers
John, James, and Samuel Beaty, and my sister, Catherine Rogers

   And I do constitute and appoint Moses Lyle my sole executor to execute this will
