This obituary came from an unknown paper. It was cut out 
and put into a scrapbook by its original owner.  It was 
later photocopied and given to me in 2002.

SALLIE A. CAMPBELL

    Terminating a lingering illness which had kept her 
bedfast during the last month, death came to 
Mrs. Sallie A. Campbell, 88, widely known resident of 
this city, at 11:30 o'clock last night, Thursday, 
July 28, 1932, in her home, 161 Morgantown street.
    Affectionately known as "Aunt Sallie" to a host of 
friends throughout this section of the county, Mrs. Campbell 
had made her home in Uniontown for more than 30 years.  
A daughter of Presley G. and Miranda Hibbs Swan, she was 
born May 3, 1844, on the old Swan farm near Haddenville on 
the West National Pike.  She was married in Uniontown, 
June 5, 1873, to Joseph M. Campbell of New Salem, moving 
her residence to this city shortly after his death, 
January 15, 1895.
    For many years a member of the First Presbyterian church, 
Uniontown, Mrs. Campbell until failing health  kept her 
confined to her home, was active in all the affairs of the 
church, a loyal member of the Women's Missionary Society and
other organizations with which she was allied.  She was also 
during her residence here a member of the Elizabeth Sturgeon 
Women's Christian Temperance Union.
    Surviving are three nieces, Miss Reva Swan, who made her 
home with Mrs. Campbell; Mrs. Ray McCelland, Searight, and 
Mrs. Prue Gribble, Los Angeles, Calif.; three nephews, 
Richard Swan, South Uniontown; Arthur and Morgan Chalfant, 
searight, and the following grand-nephews and nieces; 
Claude Gribble, Los Angeles; Virginia Lee McCelland, Uniontown, 
and Richard, Jr., Robert, Eugene and Lucinda Swan, South 
Uniontown.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon, at 
3:30 o'clock from the Morgantown street residence.  
Rev. Dr. William Blake Hindman, pastor of the First Presbyterian 
church, will officiate.  Burial in Sandy Hill cemetery.
