Below is the will of Jacob Rohrer, born 23 Jul 1776 in Washington Co, MD
and died 30 Aug 1850 in Muddy Creek Twp, Butler Co.
The Last Will of Jacob Rohrer (Excerpt)
The last will and testament of Jacob Rohrer of Muddy Creek Township,
Butler County. First I give unto my beloved wife Margaret Rohrer all
my estate during her natural life and a sufficient and decent burial
at her death. I then and at her death do give unto my son Jacob
Rohrer fifteen acres at the west end of my (unclear) a piece once
measured on the south side of the creek.
I give my son Samuel Rohrer all the remaining part of my tract of
land supposed to be one hundred and twelve acres more or less on which
I now live being part of lot no. 144 also all the farming utensils.
I give my daughter Fanny Rohrer one cow and one bed and bedding and
one (unclear).
I give unto my three daughters namely Polly Heckathorn (?),
Elizabeth Wimer and Fanny Rohrer all the (unclear) remainders all
my personal estate (unclear).
Also my will is that my two sons Jacob and Samuel Rohrer is to pay
unto my daughter Fanny Rohrer the sum of ten dollars each yearly in
trade as long as she remains single.
Signed 1st day of April 1845.
Probated 31st day of August 1850
