  In the name of God Amen. I John Beighley of Connoquenessing Township, Butler 
  County, state of Pennsylvania, being at present in good health and of sound 
  and disposing mind and memory thanks be to God for the same and knowing the 
  certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time and to the intent that I 
  may be the better prepared to leave this world when it shall please God to 
  call me home, do make this my last will and testament in the manner following 
  Viz.
  	First and principally, I recommend my soul to God my creator hoping 
  for entry through Christ my redeemer. My body I commit to the earth to be 
  buried by my executor after mentioned my just debts to be paid soon as 
  possible after my decease. My worldly possessions to be disposed of as follows 
  to wit:
  	First, I give and bequeath to my loving wife Catherine the one third 
  of the profits of my real estate during her lifetime. The profits of the 
  orchard, she is to get one half of the fruits. This --- my wife one third to 
  be delivered to her in a bushel ------- --- ---------my wife to have one 
  horse, saddle and bridle. She is to have two-------- with a privilege to 
  raise -------- kept in place also to------- ------. To have six sheep and a 
  right to have sufficient stalling kept in place for all her stock. The 
  windmill and waggon she is to have use of during her life at her death these 
  two articles to be my son George's. She my wife to have and occupy the house I 
  now live in. The Spring house, have all the beds, bedding and furniture of 
  house during her life and at her death the furniture, bed and bedding to be 
  equally divided between her daughters then in life except the bed and bedding 
  now in spring house left to be the property of Catherine Shaner. My wish that 
  my son George should farm all the old farm during my wife's life giving all 
  above stated to my wife. She is also to have four or five hogs kept yearly 
  while she is alive, to have hoe and mattock to work her garden with. My wife 
  is to have privilege of full -------- during her life. My son George and son 
  in laws Samuel Myers, John Myers, Jacob Rosebaugh are to supply sufficiently 
  of firewood hauled to my wife's house and then cut in the ----- each an equal 
  share and that taken off of their own lot which I left to them and failure of 
  any of them finding as stated my wife to hire and to have some wood provided 
  an the one failing to furnish his part to pay the expenses of finding the 
  wood. All wood cut and provided by my above heirs as stated will be free of 
  any charge to my said wife.
  	Second, I give and bequeath to my Son George the hundred and fourteen 
  acres taken out of the old tract off the east and south end and side. By him 
  paying one hundred and twenty dollars to my wife in one and two years after my 
  decease as she needs same, and also to pay to my daughter Mary who is 
  intermarried to Samuel Myers, fifty dollars three years after my decease or 
  sooner if he can make payment of part, also to my daughter Rachel, fifty 
  dollars three and five years after my decease. I also bequeath to my said son 
  George 17 acres of the old girty tract adjoining John Gable on lot #3 on draft.
  	Third, I give and bequeath to my daughter Susan intermarried to James 
  Black 200 acres of land more less where she now resides. Said land not to be 
  sold during her life and at my said daughter's death said land to be property 
  of her children share alike and I give and bequeath to her husband James Black 
  one dollar.
  	Fourth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine who is 
  intermarried to John Myers the land on which she and her husband now live 
  which I purchased from Joseph and Samuel (?) Chandler(?) the church and yard 
  excepted by him said Myers paying to Susan Black fifty dollars in three years 
  after my decease also to pay to my daughter Rachel fifty dollars in three 
  years after my decease and to pay to Catherine Shaner twenty five dollars, 
  Conrad Shaner twenty five dollars in five years after my decease the land not 
  to be sold during my daughter's life time and to be property of her children 
  at her death share alike.
  	Fifth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary who is intermarried to 
  Samuel Myers one hundred and ten acres taken off the South West corner of the 
  old tract of land on which I live agreeable to ------ at present be same-------
  --- ------ -------. Land not to be sold during my daughter's lifetime and at 
  her death to be the property of her children share alike.
  	Sixth, I give and bequeath to my daughter Rachel who is intermarried 
  to Jacob Rosebaugh one hundred and six acres of the north end of the old tract 
  of land on which I leave to same more or less. The sugarcane which is on this 
  part of land my wife must have the one third of sugar made on same during her 
  life and said land not be sold during my said daughter's life and at her death 
  same to be equally divided amongst her children share alike if she has 
  children then in life if not this part of land to be equally divided amongst 
  my own children then in life share alike.
  	Seventh, I give and bequeath to my grandchild Conrad Shaner thirty 
  four acres of land of what is called the girty tract on which there is a 
  house -------being lot 1 of draft. ------- more or less by him paying one 
  hundred dollars. His lawful bill which he may have against me for work to be 
  reduced out of above hundred dollars but if lawful bill should exceed the 
  above and the same to be reduced out of his share bequeathed to him. But none 
  taken from any other of my heirs.
  	Eighth, I give and bequeath to my grandchild Catherine Shaner thirty 
  one acres off old girty tract adjoining Conrad Shaner's part being#4 on same 
  plot. She's not to dispose of same during her life but to let it go for use of 
  her children if she has any if not to go for use of her uncle George and 
  brother Conrad should share alike by the paying of one hundred and twenty 
  dollars to my children then in life said Son George and Conrad Shaner included 
  cash to each share alike.
  	Ninth, after my wife's decease the house furniture to be divided as 
  follows to my daughter Susan the large chest in ---------, to Catherine Shaner 
  one spinning wheel and one bureau, one chair, one brass kettle of 6 gal. and 
  one also of 2 gal., one cow and one heifer. Three sheep, ---- furniture. To my 
  daughter Catherine one clothespress, to my daughter Rachel one cupboard which 
  stands in springhouse, to daughter Mary one cupboard in the old house, to 
  George Beighley my son the large copper kettle also the clock and case (the 
  plough and horse is my son George's) to my son George also the wagon and set 
  of gears and chains as son George also log chain. The cow chains to remain 
  where now till after my wife's death then to be sold. Conrad Shaner to have a 
  bedstead which I now occupy also the bed, one falling axe and one log chain 
  also the little harrow with iron ---.Both the fine and coarse flax hackles 
  (baskets)? to be the property of my daughters Susan, Mary, Catherine and 
  Rachel each an equal share after their mother's death. My ---------- chisels 
  to be my son George's also the brass piece to be said George's and the augurs 
  to be equally divided between son George and Conrad Shaner. The other part of 
  my chattel property not here mentioned to be appraised by my executor by means 
  chosen by my said executor and to be sold. The proceeds of which to be equally 
  divided amongst my surviving children share and share alike. My hand saw to be 
  the property of Conrad Shaner. The big dining table to be the property of son 
  George. I make and appoint my son George Beighley and son in law Samuel Myers 
  executor of this my last will and testament revoking any former will made by 
  me at any time. Under my hand and seal the 18th day of May AD 1843.

  	Codicil to the foregoing will. If any of my heirs mentioned in the 
  foregoing will should dispute as to the share of property bequeathed to them 
  or give trouble to my heirs, the share which I have bequeathed to them making 
  any dispute or trouble shall be taken from them and equally divided amongst my 
  other heirs then in life share alike and place of property bequeath to any of 
  my errors making such troubled or contention with the others of my heirs they 
  are only to receive the amount of $5. Signed under my hand and seal to the
