In the name of God, Amen. I, John Beatty, of the Township of Green, County of
Butler, and State of Pennsylvania, being of sound mind and memory, and considering
the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life, do therefore make ordain and
publish and declare this to be my last will and testament, that is to say:
First. After all my lawful debts are paid, and discharged, the residue of my estate,
real and personal, I give and bequeath as follows, viz:
To my beloved wife, Polly, I bequeath my farm and appurtenances situated thereon,
and all my personal property, with the whole control of the same during her natural
life
Also I will that she (my said wife ) give to my daughter, Polly, her living as long
as she, my daughter Polly, remains with her, and after the death of my wife Polly, I
hereby direct my executors (hereinafter named ) to sell my whole estate, and give to
my daughter, Polly, six hundred dollars out of the proceeds of the sale,
And the remainder I order to be divided among my remaining children, each one to
share and share alike.
I make, constitute and appoint Thomas M. Beatty, of Township and County aforesaid,
to be the executor of this, my last will and testament.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto subscribed my name and affixed my seal this
twentyeth day of April in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and
