          Lawrence Magee
  
    Lawrence Magee, aged 76 years, died
  at his home at Herman, Wednesday after
  a lingering illness of bronchial asthma. He was
  born in Germany, but came to this country many
  years ago, a number of which have been spent in
  Butler County.
    Mr. Magee and his wife celebrated their golden
  wedding  October 18, 1909. He was taken ill
  shortly afterwards and has been in poor health
  ever since.
     Besides his wife, he is survived by nine children,
  four daughters, Mrs. Sophia Kraus and Mrs.
  August Huckenstein, Pittsburg;  Mrs. Francis
  Shell, Butler, Mrs. Margaret Wellgaud, Pittsburg,
  and five sons; William, Michael and John, New
  Madtson (har to read), Ohio, and Frank and
  Lawrence, Wheeling W. Va.
     Mr. Magee was a veteran of the civil war, serving
  five years in Company G, Fifth Regiment, Pennsylvania
  Volunteers. He was a member of St. George Ritter of
  Allegheny. Funeral services at the Catholic Church at
  Herman, Saturday morning at 10 o'clock.
