Died on the 30th of December, 1863, at her residence in Connaquenessing Twp., Butler
Co., Pa., Mrs. Mary Bracken, in the 78th year of her age Mrs. Bracken was the
youngest daughter of Rev. William Graham, of Virginia, a distinguished educator and
the founder of Washington College, Va. She became a communicant in the Presbyterian
Church under the Ministry of Dr. McMillan, when about eighteen years of age. At the
age of twenty she was married. to Rev. Reid Bracken, and removed with him soon after
to Mt. Nebo congregation, where she continued to reside till her death  She leaves
five sons and two daughters, all but two of whom have families.
