  New Castle News, April 1, 1949
    Word has been received here by relatives that Charles F. Bishop, aged 53 
  years, of 321 Shaw street, a state employee in Harisburg, died Thursday at 7 
  a.m. in the Polyclinic hospital, Harisburg, after a short illness.
    The decased was a lifelong resident here, born December 19, 1895, in New 
  Castle, son of Edward and Mary Sullivan Bishop.  He was a member of St. Mary's 
  church.
    Surviving are his children: Mrs. Audra Steele (M. Eileen), this city; Mrs. 
  M. L. Osborne (Shirley F.), Ellwood City; Mrs. Stephen Shimko (Eloise P.), 
  this city; Sandra K. and Richard Lee, at home; and Edward C. Bishop, of U.S. 
  Navy, of Philadelphia.  He leaves six grandchildren; a brother, Walter of this 
  city; and sisters:  Mrs. C.S. Davidson, this city; and Mrs. Ray Armour of 
  Gary, Indiana.
    The body is at the A. Darrell Burke funeral home.  Funeral arrangements are 
  to be announced.

  daughters after their husbands' names.
