MRS. ELLA MAE SHIREY NICHELSON
	Mrs. Ella Mae Shirey Nichelson, 90, of 109 Homestead Ave., Scottdale, died at 4:15
a.m. Sunday in Frick Community Hospital, Mount Pleasant, where she had been admitted
two hours earlier.
	She was born Aug 13, 1884, at Barren Run, a daughter of the late David S. and
Catherine Davenport Shirey.
	She was a member of the Everson Evangelical Church of North America and the United
Methodist Women and the Dorcas Class of the Christ United Methodist Church at
Scottdale.  She was also a member of the Scottdale Women's Christian Temperance
Union.
	She is survived by a son, Clarence E Nichelson of Perryopolis; two daughters, Mrs.
Florence Clelland and Mrs Joseph (Kathryn) Froble both of Scottdale; ten
grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren, and one brother, Noah D Shirey of Smithton. 
She was predeceased by her husband, W Braden Nichelson in 1957 and a daughter, Erma
Grace Suchocki in 1967.

JENNIE SHIREY BUNDORF	

Jennie Bundorf, 82, of Donegal died Friday morning in the Hilltop Manor Nursing
Home, Donegal. 
She was born May 30, 1901 in Bullskin Township, a daughter of the late John H. and
Elizabeth Shirey Bundorf.
She was a resident of Akron, Ohio for over 50 years.  She was the last descendant of
Capt. John Bundorf, a Civil War Veteran.  She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
Church of Akron, Ohio.
Surviving are several cousins.

BUNDORF-- Jennie Bundorf of Donegal died Friday, August 12, 1983.  there will be no
funeral home visitations.  Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday MT
Olive cemetery with the Rev Robert Keplinger officiating.  Services are in charge of
the Brooks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville.

John Buell SHIREY

JOHN B SHIREY DIES AT SCOTTDALE; WAS CIVIL WAR SOLDIER

John B Shirey, 84 years old, of 20 Collins avenue, Scottdale, died at his late home
Sunday morning following a stroke suffered last Wednesday.  He was born near
Smithton, Westmoreland county, May 22, 1842.  He was educated at California State
Normal school and after graduation taught school for 14 years.
On October 16, 1862, Mr Shirey enlisted in the Union Army, Company F, 168th
Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry, 18th Army Corps.  After receiving an honorable
discharge July 23, 1865, he re-enlisted March 17, 1865, in Company F, 103rd
Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry and was given his final discharge June 25, 1865.
From 1872 until 1921 he resided on a farm near Layton, Fayette county; then removed
to Scottdale and retired.  He was a faithful member of the Methodist Episcopal
Church.  In 1887 he was united in marriage to Ella Elizabeth Ellenberger, who
survives him, with the following children: Alpha E of Layton; Don B of Wilkinsburg,
Mrs C E McIntire of Uniontown, and Mrs Clarence Fuller of Scottdale; also one
brother Nicholas J, Scottdale.
Funeral services will be held at his late home on Tuesday at 2 o'clock.  Members of
Colonel Ellsworth Post, G A R, of which he was chaplain, will hold its service at
that time.  Funeral Director Ira Blair of Perryopolis will be in charge.
Mr Shirey was an uncle of C L Ellenberger of Snyder street, and Burgess Harry T
Ellenberger of Dunbar.
