In the Name of God, Amen. I, Jonathan Beaty, of Big Beaver Township, County of
Beaver, and State of Pennsylvania, being of perfect sound mind and memory, and
calling to mind the condition of my body and that it is appointed to all to die, do
make this, my last will and testament.
And first and principally, I commend my soul to Almighty God, who gave it and my
body to the earth in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my executors. And
as touching such worldly estate with which God has blessed me, I give, devise and
dispose of in the following manner, viz:
To my beloved wife, Margaret, a good and comfortable support during her natural
life. I likewise will and bequeath to her all my household and kitchen furniture
that may not be otherwise disposed of in this, my last will and testament
My farm that I live on I will and bequeath to my four sons to be equally divided
between them in manner and form following
Running it in lot of east to west, John to have the lot in the south side of the
farm, Jonathan  the next adjoinimg Johns, amd William the next, joining Jonathan and
the lot on the north of the farm to James.
Likewise, the lot purchase of Phillips I allow to be divided among my four sons in
the same manner and form as the farm is to be divided, also the quarter section of
land in Williams County also I give and bequeath to my four sons to be equally
divided among them. 
I give and bequeath to my two sons, Jonathan and William, one horse equal in value
to the horse I have given James, likewise a saddle and bridle pack
To my daughter, Margaret Ann, one horse as the same value as James, one saddle, one
bridle, one cow, six sheep, one bedstead, two beds and bedding, ten dollars in cash.
I will and bequeath to my three daughters that is married, Elizabeth, Mary, and
Eleanor, I give each ten dollars in addition to what they have already received
To my grandson ( Nate C, Manning ??) Beaty ten dollars when he is twenty years of age. 
All my personal property and money that is left from paying my debts and other
expenses I bequeath to Jonathan, James, William, to be equally divided among them. 
I appoint my two sons, Jonathan and James, to be sole executors of this, my last
will and testament.

Signed, sealed, published, and declared  by the  said Jonathan Beaty as his last
will and testament in the presence of us who have hereunto signed our names  this
thirty first day of July, in the year of our Lord, One Thousand Eight Hundred and
Forty Six

James A. Calhoun and John Beaty

Codicil: I Jonathan Beaty, of Big Beaver Township, Beaver County and State of
Pennsylvania, on this twenty sixth day of January in the year of our Lord One
Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven, do publish this codicil to my last will and
testament
in manner following ( that is to say )  I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret,
in addition to what I have previously given her in my last will and testament, an
amount of household and kitchen furniture  equal in quantity and value with that of
my other daughter, Mary Ann.  It is my will that she be furnished with as much
support equal in quality with that of my daughter, Eleanor Jane, when she was married
Lastly, it is my desire that my present codicil be annexed to my last will and
testament to all intents and purpose 
In wirness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty sixth day of
January in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Forty Seven
